Thresholds by Amber Bartek.
We reach the threshold,
Feet pointing forward,
Remembrance,
Looking back on this momentary space between,
This crux that alights the way,
The transition into all that is new.
Crossing life's thresholds,
Invites us inward to reflect,
Sifting back through moments,
Meandering through memories,
Photographs and emotions replaying in our mind's eye,
Listening to our soul's cry,
Etched and reverberated within,
These feelings held,
The grace,
The softening,
Witnessed.
We release one year and step into the next.
We invite in the magic,
The mystery,
The sweet serendipity and we pull our weathered,
Weary,
Battle-worn hearts out of the darkness we have endured,
Finding that golden or silver shine within the mud and muck.
We recount the lessons,
The learning of these past twelve months,
Hearts opening to the evolution,
The growth,
The changes,
Eliciting divine transformation.
We are poised at this uncertain threshold,
Wings unfurling from our backs as we open our beautiful wings,
Earned through great struggle,
Heartache,
Fear,
Worry and pain and we open wings outstretched across infinite possibilities.
We trust our wings,
We trust our deep inner knowing that all is well and we open our wings to this glorious rebirth to hope and take flight,
Soaring steadily into the dreams we have dreamt,
Knowing they are already ours.
We greet this new year with a soulful kiss and the gratitude of hearts overflowing with eternal love.
