Hello there.
Welcome to the Remember Your Worth meditation.
Just take a moment to get comfortable in your space in a position where you can feel your breath.
You're always welcome to shift positions as needed and to keep your eyes closed or at a soft gaze.
Notice your breath at its natural pace.
You're welcome to place your hand over your heart or belly if you'd like.
Where do you feel tight or tense or discomfort right now?
Your neck?
Your back?
Your belly?
Somewhere else?
Take a moment to gently breathe into one or more of those spaces.
This tightness or tension is not a problem.
It is information your body is giving you.
Now I invite you to take three deeper breaths with me in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale,
Three,
Two,
One.
Now think of an object or a space on the earth that is near and dear to you.
This can be an old photograph or the ocean or any object of remembrance that has been passed down to you through generations.
Look at it and think of up to three reasons why this is important to you.
This can be because of who it connects you to,
Even if that's yourself.
It can be because it makes you feel a certain way or reminds you of a special time,
Place or person.
Now think of one or more reasons why this object or space might be imperfect.
Maybe the photograph is a little faded or torn at the edge.
Maybe the tides of the ocean are shifting from climate change.
Maybe someone passed down this object to you and you have friends about it.
Maybe it has a story of heartbreak.
Imagine this imperfect object or space witnessing you and sending you so much love and care.
As you imagine this imperfect object or space witnessing you,
If you were to say,
I don't feel worthy to this beloved,
What response would you receive in return?
If you were to say,
I never feel like I do enough to this beloved,
What response would you receive in return?
Take those messages and imagine wrapping them around you like a giant enveloping hug.
The love from these truths just pouring all over you and into you.
Remembering how you have always been enough,
Are enough and will always be enough.
What do you notice in your body?
Seeing the feelings and sensations that come up for you.
All feelings and sensations are there.
With these feelings of love,
Maybe of worthiness,
Maybe of joy,
Maybe of peace,
Running through your body.
Place your hand on your heart and instill the following affirmations.
You're welcome to repeat them out loud or just hold them in your heart.
Work includes rest,
Play,
Creation and joy.
It is not my responsibility to save the world.
I get to ask for help because I don't need to have all the answers.
I have nothing to prove I belong.
When I honor my capacity,
I honor my worth.
How did those affirmations feel for you?
They don't have to feel the same.
Some might ring true more than others and that's okay.
Just notice and notice how your heart feels right now.
How is your breath?
Just notice.
Now let's close out with some breaths where the exhale is longer than the inhale.
We will inhale for four seconds,
Hold and exhale for eight seconds.
We will do this three times.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold.
Exhale,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold.
Exhale,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold.
Exhale,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Now just return to your regular breathing pattern.
You're welcome once again to place your hand on your heart to feel your chest rise and fall if that feels good for you.
Thank you so much for being with me,
For remembering your worth with me.
Remember to hold your body closely and softly and take care.
