Hello and welcome to this meditation that is here for you if you have felt like you have been procrastinating towards your goals.
In this meditation we're going to gently take a look at our procrastination habits and just start to shift our energy to feel more aligned and productive towards the dreams that have been sitting on the back burner.
So sitting up nice and tall or maybe you're laying down and just starting to tune into the body.
Taking a nice big breath in through the nose,
Filling the belly with air.
Feeling the chest rise,
Shoulders expand and we take a nice exhale out through the mouth.
Just starting to come back to the body,
Noticing the sensations here and softly getting out of the mind.
Often when we procrastinate it's not because we don't have willpower,
It's not because we don't have passion,
It's not because we can't do it.
Simply because we're either worn out or exhausted or we're just feeling misaligned in the way that we're going about our work.
So just starting to tune into yourself and your dreams and thinking about the goals you want to hit and not just the goals but thinking about what life these goals bring you when you achieve them.
Who is around you when you achieve these goals?
Where are you?
What do these achievements bring you relationship-wise,
Money-wise,
Emotionally?
Really painting this picture of the success of these goals.
And really tune into the energy of what these goals are bringing you,
Not just thinking about it but I really want you to feel it.
Feel the love from these goals,
From the achievement of these goals.
Feel the gratitude,
The appreciation,
How excited you are to live out your dreams.
And just bask in this for a little bit here.
Taking a couple big deep breaths to really seal this in.
I want you to box up this joy and the love and the gratitude,
All these amazing emotions that you've felt.
I want you to imagine boxing up these emotions and simply putting it on a shelf to access for later.
And then I want you to come back to the present in your present body and I want you to think about taking action towards these goals.
And what does the energy feel like?
Does it feel stuck?
Does it feel stagnant?
Does it feel like you're trying to push uphill,
Swim against the stream?
What is the energy like when you take action towards these goals?
And think about why the energy is what it is.
If it's feeling hard to take action,
Why does it feel hard?
What's coming up for you there?
If you're feeling exhausted,
What is making you feel drained?
Really getting to the root of what's going on for you here and that's where the change lies.
That's where the work is.
Thinking about how you can take action towards your goals in a way that feels light,
In a way that feels exciting,
In a way where we take the pressure off and we simply get to enjoy the process of turning our dreams into a reality.
Breathe that in for a moment.
Just notice what shifts for you,
What feels different when you think about going after your dreams from a place of excitement,
From a place of love,
From a place of ease versus having it have to feel really hard,
Having it feel draining.
And start to notice the shift in your body.
Just tuning back in to how you're feeling.
Taking a couple big deep breaths here.
And solidifying how you want to move forward towards your goals,
What your next tiny action step is.
Allowing yourself to take one tiny step instead of having to have the whole thing complete,
Instead of having to have the goal by tomorrow.
What's the first little baby action step you can take?
And how can you take it in a way that feels exciting?
In a way that feels fun?
In a way that feels light?
And then trusting that when you take that action step,
The next step will come and it will unfold.
Breathing that in.
And maybe putting a hand on your heart.
And just starting to commit to yourself to let this process unfold.
Committing to the fun,
Committing to the lightness,
Committing to riding the waves of the journey.
And when you get knocked down,
You pick yourself back up.
No matter how many times you feel like you fall,
You see the end goal and you trust in the process.
Taking a big breath in to seal this in.
Thanking yourself for showing up here.
The fact that you are here means you are committed to figuring out your goals,
To taking action.
Now it's just a matter of getting out of your own way,
Getting out of the mindset patterns that have kept you stuck,
And really dropping in to this exciting,
Playful energy.
And letting it be fun along the way.
Sealing that in one more time.
Nice big breath in through the nose,
Fill the belly.
Slowly exhaling.
