This track can be used for grounding in the morning, with a busy day ahead. It is quite straightforward and set up simply: I have a leg and I am sitting here. It is best practiced while sitting in a chair to align with the track's mentions, but can of course be done in any position.

Taking a moment to ground ourselves.

The day is ahead of us and whatever we are going to experience in the day will be with our body.

And our body is here,

In the here and now.

So the more we are in contact with our body,

The more we will actually experience of the day.

So it can be nice to start your day from a type of groundedness,

Which can be pretty difficult.

From the moment you wake up,

Distractions are already kind of coming up and they are like a pulling force.

Maybe some social events happening in the day.

And already when you wake up,

Maybe you are thinking,

Is this going to be good enough?

Will I get the joy that I need?

Can I?

Yeah,

I don't know.

Can I?

Yeah.

So,

Let's try to ground ourselves.

In our current situation,

We have a leg.

Our weight is on something.

Can be a lot of things,

But let's take a chair.

So our weight is on a chair.

And we have a leg.

Now,

Everything is going on.

All the distractions are there.

But it happens simultaneously to us having a leg and sitting on the chair.

So what happens if we observe this?

If we observe our attention to sitting on the chair and feeling the leg the distractions?

Hmm,

I'm distracted.

Hmm,

But I also have a leg and I also sit on the chair.

And pretty much this whole day,

I'm going to have a leg and I might not be sitting on a chair,

But gravity will pull me down.

If you do not have a leg,

By the way,

You can use another body part.

Or if you don't want to use the leg because it hurts,

You can use your arm or your nose or whatever you want.

But just a very simple thing that you have.

Yeah,

And we can feel grounded here in sitting with this leg.

And because there is a balance in how much attention we give to the distractions and how much attention we give to sitting with the leg,

We can shift that balance.

We can allow our consciousness to reside with sitting and with having a leg.

And your brain is going to try in a million different ways to distract you from simply sitting here with your leg.

But you can go back.

And there are maybe some complicated things you will have to do in order to get back.

But the essence is very simple.

So we'll sit a bit more.

We'll sit and feel our leg.

We'll feel the weight.

We allow some attention to the groundedness that this gives us,

However slight,

However big.

And we just experience this very weird leg.

This very weird thing that is called gravity.

But it's not weird.

It is to be a human being,

To experience gravity,

To experience your leg.

You're simply chilling on a chair and your leg is chilling as well.

And your leg is a pretty cool thing.

It's pretty beautiful.

It does a lot of things for you.

Maybe if you take a look at it,

You can just see how cool it is.

It has many visual qualities,

Aesthetic shapes,

Hair,

Colorations of the skin.

It has a certain way in which it reflects light.

And even when it's not moving,

It represents the ability of movement,

Of flexibility.

It holds a very complex but yet very elegant and simple structure that allows you to do a million things.

There's a lot of terminology we use to describe this thing.

There's a knee,

Heels,

Ankles,

It has toes,

The soles of your feet,

Skin,

Hair.

It is really a beautiful thing,

This leg.

So now that you've chilled with your leg for a while,

While sitting or distributing your weight on something,

You can just get up again and go about your day.

And knowing that you have just sit down and chilled with your leg for a while.

And when in the day it gets a bit more stressful,

You cannot really connect to this energy.

You can simply notice this weight and know that it is possible to get back here.

And you will get back there at some point.

So with that,

I will close the meditation.

Have a very nice day.
