Ocean Breathing helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system also known as the rest, digest and heal the system. This breathing technique does this by lengthening and deepening the breath. You're invited to take a break during the day for this 4-minute session or use it to help fall asleep. This breath is called Ujjayi in Sanskrit meaning victorious breath. Namaste.

Hello,

Welcome to the practice of ocean breathing.

This breath is also called the Ujjayi breath in Sanskrit.

This practice of ocean breathing helps to activate the rest,

Digest,

And heal system by lengthening and deepening the breath.

To start the practice,

Notice how your breath is and then begin to breathe with the mouth closed and slightly restricting the back of the throat space.

Sounds like deep sleeping,

Like this.

We'll continue this ocean breath for the next two minutes,

Gently letting go of the ocean breath,

Coming to your natural breath.

I invite you to come back to this any time you need a break or if you need help falling asleep.
