Welcome to releasing the weight of the day.

Take a moment to settle in.

Find a position that feels comfortable,

Supported and easy.

And when you're ready,

Allow your shoulders to soften.

Allow your breath to slow.

And let yourself arrive here,

Just as you are.

You've made it through another full day,

And maybe it was a heavy one.

Maybe you've been holding things together for everyone else.

Maybe you've been carrying emotions that you just didn't have space to feel.

Or perhaps you can't even quite name the heaviness,

You just know that it's there.

This is a space where you feel you don't have to carry any of that alone.

You can simply rest.

You can breathe.

You can let your body loosen its grip on the day.

Most of us move through the day holding more than we realise.

Thoughts,

Responsibilities,

Unspoken worries,

The pressure to just be okay.

All of it builds up slowly,

Until it lives in our muscles and in our breath.

And even though you might not notice it happening,

Your body certainly does.

So this moment is an invitation to set some of that weight down,

Just for a while.

Let's begin with a slow breath in.

And a long,

Gentle exhale out.

Again,

In through the nose.

And slowly letting it go.

As you continue to breathe softly,

See if you can notice where your body is holding on.

Maybe it's your jaw,

Or your shoulders.

Maybe it's your stomach,

Or even your chest.

Maybe it's your chest area.

There's no need to force anything.

Just noticing it is enough.

There's been many times in my own life where I didn't realise how heavy I felt until I finally paused.

Times when I was moving through the day on autopilot.

Carrying grief,

Responsibility,

Or worry without even naming it.

And the moment I stopped,

The moment I softened my breath,

And admitted even quietly to myself,

I'm not okay right now.

Something inside me just loosened.

It was never dramatic,

Just a small exhale.

A tiny shift,

But it changed everything.

That's the feeling I want you to experience here.

Not a huge release,

Just enough space for your body to sigh.

And your heart to feel a little less crowded.

So let's move gently into a practice of release.

Bring your attention to your shoulders.

With your next exhale,

Imagine them melting downwards.

Allow whatever tension you've been holding on to,

To soften.

By even just one degree.

Now,

Bring awareness to the space around your chest and your ribs.

So often,

This is where we brace against life.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in.

And then let the exhale widen that space.

As if your body finally has permission to breathe again.

If it helps,

Imagine the weight you've been carrying as something that you can place beside you.

You don't have to know exactly what it is.

You don't even have to fix anything.

You're just setting it down for a moment.

Let it rest next to you.

Or imagine it sinking gently into the ground,

Supported by something larger than you.

Your only job right now is to soften and breathe.

Take another slow inhale.

And a long exhale.

Exhale out.

Whisper to yourself,

Or even in your own mind if you like.

I don't have to hold everything right now.

I can let some of this go.

I am allowed to rest.

Once more.

I don't have to hold everything right now.

I can let some of this go.

I am allowed to rest.

Feel the truth of those words settle into your body.

Let your breath be steady and unhurried.

Let your face soften.

Let your stomach loosen.

And let your whole system know that it is safe to release.

And if you notice any part of you still gripping,

Just offer it patience.

It will let go when it's ready.

The softening is enough.

As we begin to close this practice,

Take one more slow breath in.

And gently let it out.

Notice how your body feels now compared to when you started.

Maybe it's a little softer.

A little more spacious inside.

Remember,

You don't have to carry the whole day.

You don't have to be strong every moment.

And you don't have to hold everything alone.

You can return to this space anytime you need.

A moment to set things down and come back to yourself.

For now,

Move gently into whatever comes next.

And allow yourself to carry only what feels light enough for this moment.

Thank you for being here.

Take one last soft breath.

And when you're ready,

You can slowly come back to your day.
