Achieve a calm mind.

Please refrain from listening while driving or doing anything else.
Make sure you'll be undisturbed.
Dim the lights and lay or sit in a very comfortable position.
Close your eyes and follow the sound of my voice.
We can find freedom from overthinking.
Sometimes our minds are clouded with thoughts.
Sometimes we go round and round in them,
Seemingly unable to break free.
And often accompany these thoughts,
Which turn into worries and anxieties about the future and regret,
Guilt or longing to do with the past.
We can work on healing all this more easily if we achieve a calm and peaceful mind in the meantime.
We can find peace at last.
And over time we train our mind to find this state by default.
We'll take a moment to relax a little.
Then we'll perform a visualization.
If visualization is tricky for you,
Then use your sense of just knowing as to what you're experiencing.
Here we go.
I'm going to count you down and you will find yourself sitting under a tree in a beautiful grassy meadow and with each number I count,
You will become more and more relaxed.
Okay.

Becoming aware of where you're holding any tension in your muscles.

And release that tension as your body lets go of everything.

Drifting into a wonderful sense of wellbeing.

Relaxing down down,
Your entire body relaxing down.

Taking a big sigh of relief now.
Breathing in and out.
There we go.

Being really calm and relaxed.

Overthinking will soon be a thing of the past.

Drifting deeper into your most peaceful self.

All is very well indeed.
And 1.
And find yourself sitting on a blanket under a wise old tree.

Feel a soft warm breeze on your face,
Carrying with it scents of wild flowers and blossoms.

It's such a pleasant sunny day.
5.
A perfectly comfortable temperature.
And the sky is the deepest blue,
Perfectly clear.
6.
This really is a special place.
The most protective,
Loving,
Natural place.
7.
The wise old tree under which you sit is emanating pleasant,
Comforting energies.
8.
Timeless and calm.
9.
A very calming influence indeed.
10.
For the tree forgives all.
Its only concern is simply being.
And that's hardly a concern.
11.
Always present.
In every now moment.
12.
The gentle breeze carries with it healing,
Calming,
Loving energies which relax you further.
13.
And just begin to realise an enormous sense of well-being which is innately within you and now you're finding it.

Soon it'll be time to heal any overthinking you've been experiencing in your life.

Notice now,
Just across this meadow is a row of trees.
And just visible through the trees is a pretty large lake.

The interesting thing is that there are rain clouds above this lake and nowhere else.
17.
Stand up now,
Remaining peaceful,
Relaxed and knowing you're fully protected.
18.
Begin walking across the meadow towards the lake.
19.
Feel how the ground feels beneath your feet.
And observe little wild flowers dotted around the grass.
20.
As you head across the meadow,
Know that the lake you're about to visit represents your mind and the clouds above represent your thoughts and feelings sometimes.
21.
You are safe and well in your own energies and you're bringing the high vibe of the tree and the meadow with you.
22.
You're simply visiting the lake as an observer,
As pure awareness to observe and heal the goings on in your mind.
23.
Reaching the row of trees now at the other side of the meadow.
Go through them and find the lake.
24.
The lake is surprisingly choppy,
Wavy and ripply.
25.
It's quite a large deep lake and incredibly beautiful indeed.
26.
It's only that the weather isn't very good just here at the moment.
27.
Observe there's a pleasant looking wooden bench by the lake.
28.
Head over and take a seat.
29.
And as you do so,
Observe the rain clouds above the lake,
Rather stormy looking and grey.
30.
They're dropping large droplets of water into the lake,
Causing it to ripple here and there and everywhere.
31.
The rain only falls on the lake,
Not over you.
In fact,
It's still lovely and sunny for you.
32.
Observe the large droplets of rain plopping into the water,
Causing ripples,
Disquiet and turbulence.
33.
The thoughts and emotions contained in the clouds are dropping down into the lake,
The lake representing your mind.
34.
As each droplet falls,
You can see within each droplet a thought or feeling you've been having,
Perhaps overthinking about.
35.
And these droplets are splashing into the lake,
Over and over,
Affecting the calm and peaceful waters.
36.
You are very calm and relaxed.
Sitting on your bench,
You continue to enjoy your peaceful tranquility,
Just observing the lake and the weather above.
37.
Everything you observe here signifies the tranquility of your mind being affected by all the overthinking.
38.
It's time to set your intention to heal this cycle.
Set your intention now to achieve a calm and peaceful mind.
And you can.
39.
See now that the sun is peeping through the clouds.
40.
Marvelous bright sun rays are beaming down onto the lake.
41.
See how bright and golden they are,
Like rays of hope and wonder eliminating any greyness at all.
42.
The clouds observe them clearing,
Dissipating away,
Revealing deep blue skies,
The same as over the meadow.
43.
The rain is stopping,
And the last few drops of excessive thought plop into the lake.
And now they've stopped.
And the sun really has come out.
And how peaceful the lake is becoming,
Your mind is returning to an innate,
Natural state of stillness.

How blue the water is now,
Such a deep blue,
Full of life,
Creation and promise.
The water is crystal clear,
So fresh and sparkling.
45.
There are no ripples,
No splashes,
And the energies radiating from this calm and peaceful lake are loving,
Joyful,
Creative and inspiring.
46.
Not a thought cloud in sight.
It's a beautiful day at the lake.
Have gratitude and appreciation for your efforts.
Well done.

Okay,
It's time to head back now that your mind is as peaceful as a calm blue lake.
Head back through the row of trees and across the meadow.
And bringing back with you everything you did at the lake,
Becoming part of your way of being,
In perfect,
Mindful balance.
Such a peaceful mind,
Able to contemplate clearly,
With paced thoughts and enjoyable emotions.

Reaching the wise old tree now and observing your natural green surroundings.

Take a seat on the blanket.
All is very well,
Very contented.
And in a moment,
I'll count you up,
And as we go,
Just send some wisdom coming from this wise old tree.
Let it arrive in your mind as I count.

Returning feeling healed and rested.

So balanced and grounded.
