Take a nice big breath,
Fill your lungs full of air,
Breathe in deeply and breathe out.
Again,
Deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with clean fresh air and slowly and gently breathe out.
Again deep breath in and breathe out.
Now close your eyes and take one big breath in,
Really big breath and then sigh it all the way out.
Just sigh.
Now imagine that you are out in the woods for an adventure.
An adventure that will help you feel refreshed but have some fun at the same time.
These woods are quite special and it's a place where you can escape and feel safe.
It's your own private hideaway and you are very safe,
Very loved and very,
Very protected.
It's the perfect kind of day to be outside.
The sun is shining high in the sky but it's not too hot for you though.
And as you walk you can feel your heart beating in time with the steps that you take.
Listen,
Listen to your heartbeat as it goes thump,
Thump,
Thump with every step you take.
As you look down you notice that you don't have any shoes on.
You are walking in bare feet.
What does each footstep feel like to you?
What does it feel like when your feet connect to the ground?
Can you feel it?
Overhead the sky is a brilliant blue and the sunlight surrounds you with healing light and warms you through and through making you feel all warm and tingly.
The clouds form into all sorts of shapes and patterns and they just lazily drift on by.
As you watch the clouds are moving and all of your worries just evaporate.
Your mind becomes clear and all of the thoughts that were there have just gone.
There is a gentle breeze on your face.
Can you feel it?
How does it feel?
Can you feel the soft tingling sensation on your face and in your hair?
What does it feel like?
There are many tall trees in these special woods and they are truly magnificent.
Can you see all of the different varieties of trees?
Can you name any of them?
Now imagine yourself walking along a path.
Take a little time and notice what the path is like.
How wide is this path?
What is it made of?
How does it feel to be walking on it?
And with each step you take notice how you feel more and more alive with a bounce in your step and you feel so happy in your lovely wood.
It's hard not to grin.
You feel so special here and so loved.
Walking along any tiredness you may feel just melts away.
You notice that there is a rainbow of smiling wildflowers dancing in the sunlight.
Notice the sounds that you can hear.
Perhaps you can hear the sound of the gentle breeze rustling through the leaves.
Listen.
Maybe you can hear the songs of the birds.
Can you hear it?
What other sounds can you hear?
As you walk you come across a beautiful bush all filled with berries and you pick one.
What does it feel like when you hold it in your hand?
Is it soft or is it hard?
Roll it around between your fingers and feel its texture.
What does it feel like?
You pop it into your mouth but don't bite it yet.
You roll it around on your tongue.
What does it feel like?
You bite into the berry and it pops delightfully in your mouth and all the juice runs around your teeth.
What does it taste like?
How does it feel in your mouth?
You continue with your walk.
The sunlight streams through the branches above casting shadows here and there.
The air tingles and the woods sparkle with life.
And with every breath you take you find that you have more and more energy.
Notice all the other sounds around you.
The different things you can smell.
Notice the colours all around you.
Are they vibrant?
Are they dull?
Take a look and see.
Off in the distance you can hear the sound of tumbling water and you wonder where it's coming from.
Maybe it's a waterfall.
So you take off in a new direction not sure what you'll find.
And lo and behold you discover a beautiful clear stream that's gurgling and splashing over small rocks and pebbles.
The water tumbles constantly over the rocks like a dance and the sun shines on the surface of the water making it sparkle and shine like a thousand suns or a million stars.
You take off your shoes and have a paddle in the water and it feels so good.
It feels so fresh and cool on your feet.
So just for a moment just have a little paddle.
Really feel the water.
Feel what's under your feet.
Feel the coolness.
Feel how it makes you feel.
Now you return to your path again.
And up ahead you see there is a clearing.
As you enter the clearing it's very quiet and it feels sort of magical and enchanted.
Take a bit of time to explore this place just by looking around.
How large is it?
Or is it small?
What do you notice on the horizon?
Is there a single tree?
A plant?
A flower?
Are there any animals?
Just look.
What is the air like?
Is it clean?
Fresh?
Is it exhilarating?
Your attention is captured with watching the squirrels and the rabbits darting about.
You notice the birds flying and hopping from place to place,
Singing their song.
And you notice all of the other wildlife at work and at play.
Feel how boundless energy begins to surge through you.
So you feel like joining in in all the activity.
You feel this great urge to enjoy yourself and play,
Just like the animals.
So do it.
Enjoy yourself for a few minutes.
You notice that there is an animal trying to get your attention.
What is it?
What kind of animal is it?
What's the animal like?
It comes a little bit closer and you're getting very excited.
You can tell that it has a gift and a message just for you.
And that is exactly what happens.
This beautiful animal gives you a gift and a message.
And you?
Well,
You'd like to give something back in return.
And you find that you too have a very special gift in your hand,
Which you give to this very special animal.
The beautiful animal smiles at you and scampers off.
And you feel so much lighter,
So much happier now.
You've had an amazing time,
But now it's time to return.
So take a deep breath in and breathe out.
Again,
Deep breath in and breathe out.
One last time,
Deep breath in and breathe out.
Wriggle your fingers,
Wriggle your toes.
And whenever you are ready,
Slowly and gently open your eyes and begin your day.
Thank you.
You

Beautiful meditation session. My mind drifted a bit, but your soothing voice quickly brought me back to the forest I have imagined. I have also imagined my golden retriever Ron in the forest with me. Sadly, he passed away last year, and I couldn't be with him when he was put to sleep, but the ending of the meditation, with the animal trying to get my attention and giving me a message, I imagined him, and it brought me to tears. Happy tears. Thank you for this meditation and experience. I will be coming back to it, both to enjoy the forest and spend time with Ron <3

I have just found my new favorite restful journey practice in this recording. Absolutely brilliant! Bookmarked and downloaded so I can return to this anywhere, anytime. Only one question: When did I put shoes on so I could take them off at the stream? Last I remembered, I was barefoot as I walked, feeling the sensations on my feet with each step. I was a barefooter and did actually do barefoot hiking until medical reasons forced me to wear shoes, so I suppose that's likely why this came up for e. Or perhaps I was just so deep into my experience (because I did go quite deep) that I missed any suggestion of putting shoes on. Either way, a very minor eyebrow-raising 🤨 question that had absolutely no impact on the overall experience I had. ☺️ Thank you so very much for sharing this beautiful gift with us here. I see the brilliant starlight within you. 🤲🏻❤️🤲🏻
