Do I listen to my body? What can I do when I start feeling sick. How can I take care of the physical and the mental aspects of my being? This short reflection can initiate my inner dialogue and help take care of myself when I feel sick.

Dear friends,

Welcome to Simply Yoga with Natalie.

This channel is for all the busy bees of this world who would like to slow down and rediscover their inner strength.

My name is Natalie Chaulain and I am a scientist and a yogi.

Let's discover together our inner power.

In this episode we will talk about what we can do when we are sick.

How does my body speak to me?

Obviously it cannot use words but it will use signs to tell me that I may need to slow down.

Even before getting any symptoms,

If we are attentive enough,

We could feel the first signs of our body needing to take some rest.

Our mind is so strong that we may ignore the signs and continue our daily activities and follow the schedule from our calendar.

If we continue to go on,

Our body will make sure that we listen to it and then the first symptoms of sickness will appear.

We may get a bad virus that will definitely slow us down for weeks,

Sometimes for months.

Then how to handle this if we still want to go on and on?

First it would be good to rest and give the body everything it needs to feel better.

Some rest and medicine if needed.

Second would be to use self-compassion words instead of why am I sick again?

It's depressing.

I really feel useless.

How about telling myself I will take the time to recover?

Meanwhile is there a message behind this illness?

Is there something I can do?

Anything I can change to my lifestyle or my thoughts?

Am I able to serve myself first to better serve others later?

Have kind and loving words toward yourself as you would do towards a friend.

Be your own friend.

I invite you to come back to it as often as possible to add sweetness to your daily life.

Let's bring a little more love in our everyday life little by little.
