Welcome.
My name is Natalie and I am so happy you are here today.
Welcome to this meditation with Amethyst.
Whether you are holding a piece of amethyst in your hand,
Wearing it,
Placing it beside you,
Or simply bringing the image of this beautiful purple crystal into your awareness,
Allow yourself to settle in.
While I'm recording this meditation,
I am holding an amethyst in my hands.
And the energy of Amethyst,
I trust,
Will be guided through you throughout this meditation.
There is nowhere you need to go.
There is nothing you need to achieve.
For the next little while,
You are simply giving yourself permission to slow down.
To soften and to come back to yourself.
Amethyst has been treasured for thousands of years.
Its beautiful purple color has long been associated with spirituality,
Intuition,
Clarity,
Inner peace.
And interestingly,
The name amethyst comes from the ancient Greek word amethystos.
Often translated as not intoxicated or not drunk.
So from the very beginning Amethyst has carried an association with moderation.
With sobriety.
With staying clear and with finding balance.
Traditionally,
Amethyst is believed to help protect people from excess.
Excessive drinking,
Overindulging,
Impulsivity.
And behaviors that could take us away from ourselves.
There are also traditions in which people carry amethyst as a talisman when they were trying to break a habit,
Including smoking.
Of course,
A crystal is not a medical treatment or a substitute for professional support when you are dealing with addiction.
But symbolically,
Amethyst can be a beautiful companion when we are working with a team of excess.
Because excess doesn't always look like drinking or smoking.
Sometimes excess looks like working too much.
Thinking too much.
Scrolling too much.
Giving too much.
Controlling too much.
Doing too much.
Saying yes too often.
Or simply filing every quiet moment because being still feels uncomfortable.
And perhaps this is where Amethyst can offer us a beautiful reminder.
You don't always need more.
Sometimes you need less.
Less stimulation.
Less pressure.
Less doing.
Less holding on.
And more space.
More stillness.
More awareness and more connection with yourself.
Amethyst is traditionally associated with helping us soften what has come or has become too excessive.
Bringing us back towards the middle.
Back towards moderation.
Back towards balance,
Not by forcing us to stop.
But by inviting us to become aware.
To notice,
To pause,
And then to choose differently.
At the same time,
Amethyst has another beautiful symbolic quality.
Its purple color has long been connected with the spiritual realm,
Intuition,
Higher awareness and our connection to something greater than ourselves.
So Amethyst carries this beautiful meeting point between grounding and spirituality.
Between being here in this physical body and opening ourselves to something beyond what we can immediately see.
Now you don't need to have a particular spiritual belief to experience any of this.
You don't have to believe in anything supernatural.
You can simply think of it as reconnecting with your inner wisdom.
With your intuition,
Your deeper self.
That quiet knowing that can become difficult to hear when life gets loud.
So today we will use amethyst as a symbol.
A companion and an anchor before returning to balance.
For releasing excess,
For quieting what is too loud.
And for gently reconnecting with the part of you that already knows what you need.
So whenever you are ready,
Let's begin.
So find a comfortable position.
You can sit or lie down,
Whatever allows your body to feel supported.
And again,
If you have an amethyst crystal with you,
You may want to place it in your hands,
On your heart.
On your belly or somewhere beside you where you can see it.
And gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And exhale slowly.
Again breathe in.
And breathe out.
One more time,
A deep,
Gentle breathe in.
And a long,
Slow breath out.
And allow yourself to arrive here.
You don't have to think about what happened earlier today.
You don't have to plan what comes next.
For now,
There is only this moment.
Feel the surface underneath you.
Notice that you are supported.
You don't have to hold yourself up quite so much.
Let the earth carry some of your weight.
Notice your breathing.
Don't change it,
Just observe it,
The gentle movement of your breath.
Coming in.
And going out.
And with every exhalation allow yourself to soften a little more.
We are now going to move to a gentle rotation of consciousness.
There is nothing you need to do.
Simply follow my voice.
And when I name a part of the body,
Bring your awareness there.
No need to move,
No need to analyze,
Just notice.
Bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Crown of your head.
Your forehead.
Your eyebrows.
The space between your eyebrows.
Your right eye.
Your left eye.
Both eyes together.
Your cheeks,
Your jaw.
Allow your jaw to soften.
Your lips,
Your tongue.
Your entire mouth.
Bring your awareness to your right ear.
Your left ear.
Your whole face.
Soft,
Quiet,
Resting.
Now bring your awareness to your throat.
The right shoulder.
Right upper arm.
Elbow.
Forearm.
Wrists,
Palms.
The back of your hand.
Your fingers.
Your entire right arm.
Now shift your awareness to your left shoulder.
Your left upper arm.
Elbow.
Forearm.
Red wrists.
Palm.
The back of your hands.
Your fingers.
Your entire left arm.
Now bring your awareness to your chest.
Your heart space.
Notice the gentle movement created by your breath.
Your upper abdomen.
Your belly.
Your navel.
Your lower abdomen.
Your pelvis.
Bring your awareness to your right hip.
Right,
Hi.
V.
.
.
Of ankle.
Yield.
Sole of the foot,
Top of the foot and your toes.
Your entire right leg.
Now your left hip.
Left eye.
Knee,
Calf,
Ankle,
Heel,
Sole of the foot,
Top of the foot and your toes.
Your entire left leg.
Feel your whole body.
Your entire body lying or sitting here.
Your whole body.
Your whole body from the crown of your head all the way down to your feet.
And now become aware of your body as a whole.
Breathing.
Being supported.
Present.
There is nowhere else you need to be.
And now bring your awareness to your amethyst.
If you're holding one,
Feel its weight in your hands.
Notice its temperature,
Its texture.
And the smoothness or roughness of its surface.
If you don't have a physical crystal with you,
Simply imagine one.
Picture a beautiful piece of amethyst in front of you.
Perhaps yours is a deep violet or a soft lavender.
Perhaps it contains different shades of purple with areas that are almost transparent as well.
Now imagine the crystal resting peacefully in front of your eyes.
It doesn't need to do anything.
It simply exists.
Quietly,
Steadily.
Without rushing.
And perhaps this is your first lesson from the amethyst.
It doesn't rush.
It doesn't chase.
It doesn't need to prove anything.
It simply is.
And imagine that you're breathing in this quality of stillness.
And as you inhale,
You invite calm into the body.
And as you exhale,
You release what has become too much.
Breathing in calm.
And breathing out excess.
Breathing in space.
Breathing out pressure.
Breathing in clarity.
And breathing out what you no longer need to carry.
And imagine the purple light of the amethyst beginning to surround you.
Not a harsh or powerful light,
But a soft violet glow.
Gentle,
Quiet,
Comforting.
And imagine this violet light moving around your body like a soft field of calm.
And wherever there is tension,
The light gently softens it.
Where there is mental noise,
It creates space.
Where there is urgency,
It invites patience.
Where there is overthinking,
It invites stillness.
Where there is excess,
It invites balance.
You don't have to force anything away.
You are simply becoming aware.
Perhaps you can bring to mind one area of your life where you have been experiencing too much.
Maybe you have been working too much.
Doing too much.
Thinking too much.
Giving too much.
Drinking too much.
Eating too much.
Scrolling too much.
Talking too much.
Planning too much.
Trying too hard.
You don't need to judge yourself.
This is not about criticism.
It is simply about noticing.
And ask yourself gently,
Where in my life am I ready for more balance?
And let the answer come naturally,
You don't need to search for it.
Where in my life am I ready for more balance?
Now imagine placing that area of your life into the hands of the amethyst.
You are not asking the crystal to magically fix it.
You are simply using the crystal as a symbol of your intention.
You are saying?
I see this,
I acknowledge this and I am ready to create a little more balance.
And imagine the violet light surrounding this part of your life.
Softening,
Creating space.
Creating choice.
Because between an impulse and an action,
There can be a pause.
And sometimes that pause is enough to change everything.
Perhaps you notice the urge to reach for something.
To do something.
To escape something.
And instead of immediately acting,
You breathe.
You notice.
And you choose.
This is the energy of amethyst,
Not restriction,
Not punishment,
But conscious choice.
A return to yourself.
Now allow your awareness to move upwards.
Imagine that the amethyst is gently connecting you with a sense of something greater.
This can be whatever feels meaningful to you.
And Universe,
Nature.
Your Higher Self.
Your intuition.
A spiritual presence.
God.
Your ancestors or simply the deeper wisdom within yourself.
You don't have to define it,
You don't have to understand it.
Just allow yourself to feel connected.
And now imagine the soft violet lights above the crown of your head.
And with every breath this light gently moves towards you.
Not overwhelming,
Not demanding,
Just presence.
And allow yourself to receive.
Perhaps there is something you have been trying very hard to figure out.
A decision.
A relationship.
A direction.
And next step.
You don't have to solve it now.
Instead,
Place the question into this space.
And breathe.
Sometimes clarity comes when we stop forcing ourselves to find the answer.
Sometimes intuition becomes audible only when the mind becomes quiet enough to hear it.
So simply ask,
What do I already know?
And listen.
Maybe an image appears.
Maybe a word.
Maybe a feeling.
Maybe nothing at all.
All of that is okay.
You are simply creating space for your inner wisdom.
Now imagine that you are sitting inside a beautiful violet cave.
And the walls are made of amethyst crystals.
Everywhere you look,
There are soft purple reflections.
The cave is completely safe.
Quiet.
Still.
Protect it.
There is nothing you need to achieve here.
You can simply rest.
And in this cave you leave behind the noise of the outside world.
The notifications.
Deadlines.
The expectations.
The constant stimulation.
And the endless list of things you could be doing.
For a few moments you don't need to do anything.
Simply breathe.
And notice how it feels to have enough.
Enough time.
Enough space.
Enough breath.
Enough being.
Allow yourself to experience this sentence.
I don't need more in this moment.
And again,
I don't need more in this moment.
Just notice what happens inside your body when you hear those words.
Perhaps there is resistance.
Perhaps relief.
Perhaps sadness.
Perhaps peace.
Whatever is there,
Let it be there.
We will now create the sun kalpa.
A sankalpa is a short positive intention or resolve.
Something you want to plant gently into your subconscious mind.
Choose one that feels true for you.
You might use,
I return to balance with ease.
I return to balance with ease.
Or I choose what truly nourishes me.
I choose what truly nourishes me.
I release what is excessive and return to what is enough.
I release what is excessive.
And return to what is enough.
I am calm,
Clear,
And grounded.
I am calm,
Clear and grounded.
I trust myself to make conscious choices.
I trust myself to make conscious choices.
I create space for what truly matters.
I create space for what truly matters.
I listen to my body and honour what it needs.
I listen to my body and honor what it needs.
I find balance between doing and being.
I find balance between doing and being.
I am connected to my inner wisdom.
I am connected to my inner wisdom.
I am enough.
I am in.
Now choose one and repeat it silently to yourself three times.
And allow the intention to settle into you,
Like a seed planted quietly beneath the surface.
You don't need to force it to grow.
You simply trust that you have planted it.
Now slowly bring your awareness back to your physical body.
Notice your breath.
Notice the surface underneath you.
Notice your hands.
Your feet.
Your face.
And imagine the amethyst becoming smaller and smaller in your awareness until it simply rests quietly within you.
And take a deep breath in.
And exhale completely.
Again,
A deep breath in.
And exhale out.
If you're lying down,
Gently roll over to your right side.
And slowly,
Slowly,
Still with your eyes closed,
Gently push yourself up into a seated meditative position.
Remember the feeling of balance.
You don't need to hold on to it tightly,
But simply remember that it's available to you.
When life becomes too loud,
Pause.
When you notice excess,
Pause.
When you feel pulled towards an old habit,
Pause.
Take one break,
One breath,
Create one moment of space and then choose.
You can always come back to yourself.
And then slowly.
You can maybe roll your shoulders,
Maybe move your head from side to side.
Introducing some micro movements into your hands and wrists and slowly open your eyes.
Take a moment before you move on with your day.
Notice how you feel.
And there is no need to rush immediately back into doing.
You can stay here for a few breaths,
And if you have your amethyst with you,
Take a moment to thank it.
Not because it needs your thanks,
But because gratitude can help us honor the intention we have created.
Thank you so much for taking this time for yourself.
Thank you for choosing a moment of stillness.
And thank you for creating.
A little more space for balance in your life.
May you remember you don't always need more.
Sometimes you simply need to come back to what is already enough.
May you move through your day with greater clarity,
Greater awareness and a little more balance.
And may you always remember that your inner wisdom is there,
Waiting for you,
Whenever you become quiet enough to listen.
Thank you so much for meditating with me.
Until the next time.
Namaste.
