Hello everyone!

Welcome to this talk about the last killer of inspiration that we are going to learn to fight and overcome before the new year starts.

In the upcoming season of holidays and wonders,

Because I'm recording this in mid-December and it will be published probably shortly before Christmas,

In this upcoming season our inspiration has a potential to emerge and we can play with our inner child and find some new perspectives for the upcoming year and discover some hidden or long-forgotten treasures of our inner world by journaling,

Doing practices and engaging in lengthy thoughtful conversations with friends in the evening,

By the table or on the couch,

In front of the fire or in some other cozy atmosphere but before we can do that we need to understand the last chapter in this story of a hero overcoming its enemies,

Our inspiration overcoming those dangerous beasts that are trying to kill it and the last one is sadness it seems to be quite harmless compared to fear or pride or control but sadness can manifest in different ways the king of sadness is depression,

Is melancholy and also regret.

All of those energies are about looking behind and at the end of the year it's actually very productive to look behind,

To analyze and recap everything that we have achieved and that we couldn't achieve and what stops us from achieving things or just stops us from being comfortable with ourselves and being relaxed and feeling good but the most important thing to realize when finding time for ourselves to journal,

To create is to not mix it all into one flow.

Of course you can create spontaneously in the state of flow but there are two different dynamics the one looking back and one looking forward and you need to distinguish between them if you want your inspiration to thrive because once you start creating something in the creator's mode,

In an artist's mode in that moment you are asking your inspiration to come and to propel the cycle of life forward to manifest new creation into existence even if it's just a small poem in your journal or an amateur painting or even if you are singing to the radio and this is already an act of inspiration and of course even more so when you are creating a plan for your new business or creating a storyline for your new book all of those activities those creative activities are in the constructive energy the forward-looking energy and when you start analyzing in that moment you are looking back back maybe just a few seconds on the sentence that you have just said on on the brush motion of in your hand yeah but even this instantaneous recap already breaks up your creative flow and this is the simple message of recognizing the energies that are moving forward and backwards so analysis and creativity are two different things and you cannot do them at the same time within one flow you either are flowing forward or you're flowing backwards and when you are co-creating with other people sometimes it is very challenging when the two of you are in different energies in different motions one of you are trying to create and be free and express and move forward and someone else may be in that moment in an editor mode reflecting correcting and those energies clash like flows of water would clash if a river is turning on itself you know sometimes it happens then the river is flowing into the sea and then the winds and currents of the sea rise so much that they're pushing the river water back and there are floods happening you know all the outbursts of energy because of this clash so to avoid that and avoid your inspiration drowning in that process decide for yourself proactively in which state you are going to be now and if you cannot decide then first it is better to go for a few moments of self-reflection just a quick scan maybe even start with the body do a body scan and then try to scan your your mind how it feels in the moment is it inclining to go forward or backwards with its process because if you are overwhelmed with thoughts maybe it's better to have a few minutes of just free flow writing and then do some analysis and only after that after you have cleared up all those thoughts that were obstructing you then you can set a new flow for creating something so really mind your energy and mind the space in your head if you have enough space if you have enough forward-looking energy to create and how does sadness come into the picture here sadness is also a backward-looking energy and it also prevents us from being creative and sometimes indeed sadness and creativity can coexist there are a lot of sad poems sad musical pieces but the trick here is that this sadness is the last chapter of a cycle imagine a cycle of the year this is all about the wheel model i also often present and work with so the wheel model is constructed in a way similar to the cycles of the year and we have this child stage which is the winter stage and then spring summer and then autumn which is the stage of the wizard with its shadow of sadness it means that in the autumn at the downfall of our cycle creative cycle or yearly cycle or any other we tend to be sad because we don't want the cycle to end we don't want it basically to decompose but the sadness as every emotion is our great teacher and by accepting it feeling through it and letting go of it becoming free from it maybe through putting it into the creative work making it into the content of the work you can actually release it and in this moment you are becoming free from it so there is this paradox that sometimes when you have sad emotions and you make them the main character of your creativity in this moment you're helping yourself to separate yourself free yourself from these emotions because you put them on that paper or in that on the painting or into that flow and in that moment they are not inside you anymore but if you keep that sadness inside you if you're trying to create something but then you have the underlying sadness or wish to stop and look back then this will disturb your creative flow so there is the second takeaway so the first one was to understand your energy if it's forward looking or backward looking and separate the two flows both are good and both have their time and place but you need to choose which one you are going to engage in now and if you are creating then don't be an editor and if you're editing then don't write at the same time yeah just make the corrections so this rule applies to many forms of creativity and then the second takeaway is that if you are feeling that there is sadness building up inside you or already very present and you are depressed but at the same time you want to create something that doesn't have any relevance to this sadness you may also find yourself in an energy deficit because a lot of your energy is going into maintaining this sadness and you don't have enough energy to create something else for example some joyful peace and it may mean that you need actually to face the sadness and even though it may be very uncomfortable to put it first and to make it the topic of your creativity or alternatively you can release your sadness in other ways through practices through body practices for example musical practices writing practices but not as a creative expression just living in it being in it maybe having some coaching sessions or some facilitation to help you live through your sadness or sharing it with someone or making a ritual overcoming it and then with a clear mind you can start your creative flow and with this i wish you to have space and wisdom to prepare yourself for the upcoming new cycle to be reborn again and again and again as we always are thank you and be well
