Hi,
This is Natalie from the Little Room of Harmony with a morning meditation.
So welcome to today,
This very morning.
Make sure you're comfortable sitting or lying down and allow the eyes to close,
Resisting that temptation immediately to jump into your day with thoughts,
With social media,
With interactions with others,
Just resisting that temptation.
And take a few moments to be with yourself this morning,
To settle into yourself,
Simply be fully present in this moment,
And enjoy this time just to be with you.
Take a moment to acknowledge how you are feeling this morning,
Physically,
Mentally,
Emotionally,
Acknowledging how you're feeling with no judgments,
No expectations,
Just becoming aware of how you're feeling right now.
And as you do this,
Notice if your mind is trying to distract you with thoughts of what this day may hold,
Your mind perhaps trying to pull you into the future.
And if it is,
Then just come back,
Bring your awareness back to this moment by noticing how you're feeling and by noticing the flow of your breath,
Your breath flowing in and flowing out.
Take a few nice,
Easy,
Relaxed breaths,
And be aware of those breaths as they flow into your body and flow out of your body.
Simply spending these few moments with yourself before you allow the rest of the world in.
A lovely way to start each day is with a short gratitude practice.
So first,
You're going to be able to feel the flow of your breath as you practice.
So first of all,
I want you to be grateful for your body this morning.
It may not be perfect,
But it is your body,
Completely and beautifully unique.
And then take a moment to be grateful for this day.
Again,
It may not be perfect,
But this day will never come again.
It will be completely and beautifully unique.
And now I invite you to bring to mind one more thing that you are grateful for this morning.
And rest with that feeling of gratitude.
And now,
I invite you to take a moment to take a moment to take a moment to take a moment of gratitude for your body,
For this day,
And for the one thing you chose.
Now I invite you to choose a word that you would like this day to unfold,
An intention for your day.
That word could be joy or peace,
Focus or love,
Kindness or ease.
Just choose your word for today and invite it in.
Welcome it into your day,
Breathe it in.
As this day unfolds,
May you find comfort.
Whatever this day holds for you,
May you accept it with grace.
This day is an opportunity to grow,
This day is an opportunity to grow and to learn,
And an opportunity to shine.
May you feel the support that surrounds you,
And may you learn to recognise and be uplifted by the tiny moments of beauty and joy sprinkled through your day.
And wherever you are now,
Just start to notice where your body touches your bed or your chair or the ground where you're sitting.
Notice that touch,
Notice the touch of your clothes on your skin.
And then start to take some deeper breaths.
Start to breathe more deeply into the body,
Gently enlivening the body.
And as you take these deep breaths,
Have a sense of breathing in energy for this day,
Breathing in positivity for this day.
Feeling grounded,
Feeling centred and ready for this day.
Thanking yourself for this time this morning to be with yourself,
To start your day with your mind calm and your heart open.
And hold this feeling inside throughout your day,
Whatever may be happening on the outside.
And whenever you're ready,
You can open your eyes and allow the rest of the world in.
