Hi.
It's been a while,
I really miss meditating together.
And I'm in this really peaceful place in Taiwan.
So I thought we could breathe.
In different parts of the world.
I invite you to close your eyes or have a soft gaze,
Staring at a point in front of you.
Let's take a few deep breaths together,
Inhaling through your nose.
And exhaling through your mouth.
Another inhale through your nose.
And exhale.
Just getting familiar with the sounds around you.
The ground.
Beneath your feet.
The space between your toes.
Your fingers.
Letting your shoulders relax.
Letting your jaw Relax.
Letting the hair on your scalp also relax.
For today perhaps you can pick a specific sound.
That you can keep coming back to.
A sound that suits.
Your ear,
Your body.
A sound.
That helps your mind.
Relax.
A sound that eases all of your tension,
At least for these few moments.
It could be the sound of a bird.
Could be.
The sound of traffic,
If that feels familiar.
It could be the sound of water.
Anything that connects with you.
For me,
It's the sound.
Of this bird that's chirping around me.
So this sound will ground you whenever your mind wanders away or you feel tightness in your body.
You can keep coming back to this sound.
It can become your North Star.
As you keep breathing.
Inhaling through your nose.
Exhaling through your mouth.
So the idea of coming back to the sound each time.
Is to accept our external world as it is.
Is to find solace and comfort.
In whatever happens around us.
Is to make the outside and the inside wall one by one.
To build that connection.
So your chosen sound,
Your north star,
Almost acts as a bridge.
Between the inner and the outer universe.
Also allowing us to accept the noise within our mind.
Perhaps restlessness within.
Our body.
Just a few more breaths here.
It's also a reminder that no matter what happens,
A few things,
A few beings.
Will always be there to support us.
To soothe us.
