Waterfall Meditation For Deep Healing And Relaxation

This guided meditation harnesses the invigorating and cleansing power of water to aid you in releasing physical, emotional, and mental tensions. Beginning with a grounding breathing exercise, you'll be gently guided into a tranquil meadow, a mystical forest, and ultimately to a magnificent three-tier waterfall. Each tier is uniquely equipped with the ability to cleanse different facets of your being.

Transcript

We are honored to have you here with us for this meditation.

As we start,

Remember there is no right or wrong way to experience this.

Just come as you are.

Together,

Let's explore what your inner knowing wants to reveal,

One breath at a time.

Gently bring your hands to your heart for just a moment and close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in.

Hold it for just a few moments and slowly let it out.

Allow yourself to relax,

Letting go.

As we embark on this journey to experience the healing power of water and all of nature,

This is a longer guided visualization,

Allowing you to go deeper into the experience.

So before we begin,

Start by choosing a comfortable position lying down,

Supported by pillows,

Blankets,

Or seated if that feels more comfortable for you.

Once you are settled in your space,

Place your arms with your palms facing upward.

Let your legs be extended out and let there be a gap between your feet.

Shuffle and squiggle around a little to ensure you are comfortable.

You can also slide a blanket or pillow underneath your knees or a pillow behind your back or neck.

Relax your body onto them.

Allow your body to feel fully supported.

Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale out your mouth.

Then close your eyes if you can and allow your whole body to settle even deeper.

Like water in a pond becoming still.

Allow yourself to settle into this moment.

As you release any tension from your body,

Let go of the gripping and the holding.

Surrendering into a deeper state of relaxation.

Fully letting go.

Soften and relax.

Draw your attention to your forehead.

Allowing your forehead to relax so there is a little more space between your eyebrows.

Feel your eyelids becoming heavier and your eyes relaxing back into the sockets like they are resting in hammocks and all the tiny muscles around your eyes completely soften.

Take a deep breath in and a full breath out.

Now begin to imagine that you are in a large space.

A warm safe space with cream walls,

Cream floors and a cream ceiling.

See a door form in the room.

Allow the door to appear fully and then slowly move towards it.

Notice all the tiny details of your door.

The shape,

The size,

The style,

The texture and the color.

Notice what it is made out of and what the door handle looks like.

Then begin to reach forward to grab the handle and open the door.

Going through the door and closing it behind you.

Finding yourself in the most beautiful outdoor space.

A huge expanse of meadow.

You start to marvel at the world around you.

The colors seem so vibrant.

The grass is the deepest emerald green.

The sun beams bright in the bluest of skies.

Wildflowers are dotted around the meadow.

Butterflies dance in a light breeze.

And the sun's golden rays warm your skin.

And as you look down,

You see that your skin is bare.

Feeling your body touching the nutrient rich soil.

You take a deep breath in to inhale the scent of the flowers.

Noticing how fresh and clean the air is.

There is no one else around.

This is your space.

Your calm,

Safe,

Relaxing space.

The more time you spend here,

The more you notice smaller details.

You see that everything is filled with aliveness.

You breathe deeply to draw this aliveness into your body.

Let yourself take in the beauty of the nature around you.

One particularly brilliant butterfly flutters and dances just in front of your face.

As you begin to watch it,

It begins to fly forward down a small path in the meadow.

You start to follow the butterfly.

You notice how its wings shimmer in the light.

Letting it lead you down the path,

Keep noticing any details that arise.

You start to approach a forest filled with tall pine trees and ancient oaks.

Feel the crunch of leaves beneath your feet and the earthy,

Woody scent of the forest.

As you move through the clearings in the trees,

Sunlight flickers as the branches sway.

You continue to follow the butterfly along this path with a feeling that you are heading somewhere truly unique.

Your curiosity increases.

You begin to notice a sound,

The trickle of water.

And with each step you take,

The sound becomes louder,

More powerful,

Full of light.

You feel it in your body that this water must be more than a stream.

Maybe a river.

You approach a huge clearing in the woods.

The sound is so loud now.

You begin to see the most breathtaking waterfall in the clearing.

This waterfall is so beautifully divided into three tiers,

With water pooling on each tier.

The waterfall is framed by plants and flowers as you move towards it.

Amazed by its beauty,

You begin to dip your skin into the clear water.

The water feels just right for you and you feel like taking a dip.

There is a small wooden sign that is hand carved.

As you read the words,

You learn that this waterfall is not what you expected.

It has the ability to deeply cleanse your whole being.

To release anything you want to let go of.

And it will leave you feeling refreshed,

Empowered,

Grounded.

And each tier of the waterfall brings its own cleansing powers.

This first tier has the ability to cleanse and renew your physical body.

You are at the edge of the waterfall pool.

Allowing your body to touch the healing water.

You notice the refreshing quality of the clear water.

As you are lowered into the pool and swim towards the waterfall.

As you approach,

You see a smooth stone ledge laced with quartz crystal.

Touching the quartz with your skin and allowing the waterfall to wash over you.

Cleansing your whole body.

Feeling the water wash away any physical aches or pains.

Any tension or tightness.

Allow the water to cleanse every inch of your body.

Allow the water to carry away whatever physical issues are ready to be released.

Feel the powerful rejuvenating qualities of the water.

Allow yourself to enjoy this cleansing process for the next few moments.

Notice the difference in your body.

Perhaps you feel like weight has been lifted off.

Perhaps you feel more energized and alert.

Notice the effect the water has on your physical body.

Allow yourself to enjoy these feelings.

Whether they are subtle or dramatic.

Begin to thank the water for cleansing your physical body.

And thank your physical body for all that it does for you.

Thank you my body.

Thank you my body.

Begin to slowly make your way out of the waterfall.

Now that you are on dry land and in the grass surrounded by the trees.

You notice some steps leading up to the next tier of the waterfall.

And you begin to move up them.

One by one.

Feeling the spray of the waterfall on your skin.

Inhaling the scent of pine trees and forest leaves.

Moving up and up.

Feeling the smooth rock against your body.

Until you approach the second tier of the waterfall.

Even more beautiful than the last.

The water gracefully falls into a small pond.

That is surrounded by boulders.

Before flowing down to the waterfall below.

You notice a sign next to the water's edge.

As you approach you read the carved writing on the sign.

It is teaching you now.

That this waterfall has the ability to cleanse and clear your emotional body.

It is able to carry away any stuck or stagnant emotions.

That you are ready to release.

This could be anything.

Sadness,

Grief,

Fear,

Anger,

Shame,

Regret.

The water will gently wash away these emotions from your body.

Your body knows it's time.

It intrigues you as you start to lower yourself into the pool.

And wait over to this waterfall.

Where another stone ledge lies underneath the waterfall.

And as you move your body up onto this amethyst ledge.

You allow the water to wash over your head and body.

You notice the sensation of water cleansing the whole of your body.

Allow it to move through you.

Find those areas where you have stored old emotions.

Give the water permission and give your body permission.

To carry away any emotions that you want to release.

That you are ready to let go of.

Know that your body has it's own intelligence.

And it is supporting you.

Breathe deeply.

Allow your breath to soothe your body.

Allow the water to carry away that which no longer serves you.

You may notice other emotions arise.

Whatever the emotion,

You are safe here.

Breathe.

Allow the emotion to bubble up.

And then allow the healing waterfall to wash it away.

Allow the water to carry the emotions to be transformed.

Into something cleansed and clear.

Good.

Breathe and spend a few moments here.

Noticing that you feel lighter.

More free and spacious.

Thank the waterfall for helping to cleanse away old emotional experiences.

Thank your emotions for teaching you.

And then knowing that it is time to let them go.

Thank you my emotions.

Thank you my emotions.

For teaching me.

Begin to get out of the waterfall.

You see small stone steps leading up to the top tier of the waterfall.

And you begin to move up these stone steps slowly.

Mindfully breathe with each movement.

You arrive at the highest of the three waterfalls.

You take a few moments to admire its magnificence.

The spray of the waterfall creates a mini rainbow.

Butterflies and hummingbirds play around the water's edge.

Take a moment to take it all in.

As you approach the wind sign next to this waterfall.

It lets you know that this final waterfall can cleanse your mental body.

Excited you slip into the water once more.

Begin to wade over onto the smooth ledge made from sapphire.

The deepest most beautiful blue.

Just underneath the waterfall.

You instantly notice its deep cleansing abilities.

As it assists you in releasing those old thoughts.

The negative self-talk.

And anything that does not serve you.

Is gently washed away by the healing waterfall.

Feel the power of the water.

Allowing it to cleanse your mind for a few moments.

Good.

Take a deep breath.

And notice the difference in your mind.

Notice that it is calmer.

Refreshed.

Notice the power of the water.

And the effect it has on your mind.

Take just a moment of appreciation.

For this healing waterfall.

For supporting you and clearing your mind.

Take a moment of gratitude for your mind.

And all that it does for you.

Thank you my mind.

Thank you my mind.

You slowly start to make your way out of the waterfall.

Back onto the grassy area.

Allow the sun's rays to naturally dry your body.

Allow the sun to recharge you.

As you feel its warmth spread through every cell.

Notice how nourished you feel.

The butterfly appears once again.

Fluttering in front of you.

You know it's time to return.

So you begin to follow it back down the steps.

Slowly and mindfully.

One by one.

As you move.

You feel more alert.

More vibrant and more alive.

You reach the bottom of the waterfall.

And follow the butterfly through the tall trees.

Feeling the leaves underneath your body.

Enjoying all the sights and sounds as you go.

You head back into the meadow.

Moving down the path.

Noticing how light you feel.

How renewed and refreshed.

As the sun begins to slowly set.

The sky is streaked with pinks,

Oranges and reds.

You take a few more steps.

As you continue to move through the forest.

You notice your door in the distance.

As you approach.

You observe its shape and size and color.

Reaching for the handle.

Opening the door.

And moving through.

And allowing the door to close behind you.

Seeing yourself back.

In this familiar and large safe space.

With cream walls.

A cream floor and a cream ceiling.

Then they all start to fade away.

Fading to become transparent.

Until they completely disappear.

And as you gently open your eyes.

And see yourself back in this room.

Feeling the earth beneath your body.

Wiggling and stretching.

Taking a deep breath in.

And a full breath out.

Welcome back.

Take as long as you need.
