Namaste and welcome.

If you haven't had a chance to practice with me just yet,

My name is Christine.

Thank you for choosing to be here and for choosing this practice and for saying yes to this time of deeply nourishing self-care and inner exploration.

Could you take the next few moments to begin to nestle yourself deeply into the sanctuary of your little yoga nidra nest,

Finding a supine position on the back and cocooning yourself with warmth,

Support,

And anything extra to help you in feeling comforted,

Safe,

And at home.

When you are ready,

Begin to shut the eyes down,

Perhaps even covering the eyes to block out any light.

Then feel the eyelids start to become heavy as you welcome in the soothing darkness behind closed eyes.

Sense everything settling down.

Then take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale out through the mouth.

And take another deep breath in through the nose,

Letting your belly and ribcage expand like a big balloon.

Pause for a moment at the top.

Exhale to sigh it out through the mouth,

Letting out any moans or groans.

Let's take one more deep breath down into the diaphragm.

Pause at the top and let it go.

Completely surrender the weight of your body,

Allowing yourself to be held by the earth beneath you.

The practice begins now.

Let the breath return to a natural rhythm.

Effortless breath.

Notice gentle waves rolling in,

Rolling out.

Vital life force renews with each in-breath.

It lets go of what is no longer needed with each out-breath,

Naturally.

Effortless renewal.

Effortless letting go.

Relaxing deeper with each exhalation.

There is nothing you need to do,

Nowhere else to be.

Resting easy,

Fully present,

Here in this moment.

As you inhale,

Silently repeating the mantra,

Here.

As you exhale,

Silently repeating,

Now.

Inhale here,

Exhale now,

Here now.

Feel your whole body unwinding,

Softening,

And letting go as you sink deeper into relaxation.

Notice each point where your body meets the support beneath you.

Can you sense the gravitational pull holding you here,

Unconditionally supporting you?

Sense your body naturally conforming to the support beneath you,

As if your body were melting.

And remember that the earth can hold you and all that you are carrying.

It is safe to relax,

It is time to let go.

Sense the whole body surrendering to stillness.

Sense unravelling,

Mind dissolving into heart,

Resting.

As you rest here,

Let your awareness move towards sound.

Notice the ears listening.

And might you welcome in the sounds around you without judgment,

But rather with curiosity.

Let each sound take you even more deeply within yourself.

Noticing sounds furthest from you.

Bringing in and noticing the sounds closest to you.

Allow your awareness to move from sound to sound to sound.

Perhaps the sounds begin to fade into the background,

Or perhaps not.

Just let the sounds be there as you now turn awareness toward the breath.

Feel the gentle rising and falling at your navel.

Feel the expansion and contraction in the ribcage.

Can you sense the expansion and contraction in the ribcage?

Or sensations inside the nostrils as the breath gently flows in and flows out.

Waves of breath ebbing and flowing.

Each breath relaxing you even more deeply.

It is now time,

Precious soul,

To enter the sanctuary of your heart.

Your regal seat awaits you.

Allow me to share with you a quote from the Radiance Sutras.

Enter the bowl of vastness that is the heart.

Listen to the song that is always resonating.

Once you know the way,

The nature of attention will call you to return again and again.

Let yourself feel deeply what is here for you.

Can you sense your soul song resonating?

Listen.

Listen with your intuitive heart.

There is a beautiful harmony resonating,

Unconditional love.

This is the portal to your intrinsic connection to all that is,

To all that has been,

And to all that shall be.

This is the doorway to your connection to your very humanity.

To the external world through your senses and your wise body companion.

To your innermost essence.

It is the portal to your connection to all of existence in the micro and macrocosm.

Now come before this portal.

Feel your intrinsic connection.

What does your heart sing?

Perhaps it is singing for the love of source,

Or perhaps the love of nature,

Of the earth,

Water,

Wind,

Fire,

And space.

Love of the animals,

Plants,

Every blade of grass,

Every grain of sand.

Be still and listen.

Lean into these whisperings.

Sense your heartbeat harmonizing with the universal heartbeat.

As you open up to the inner knowing that abides here,

Begin to call forth your sankalpa,

A heartfelt longing or sacred promise to yourself.

Your sankalpa might take the form of a positive affirmation or perhaps a word or an image or even a felt sense in the body.

Trust what is here.

Trust what arises.

If your sankalpa remains unclear,

Know that it may arise at some later time.

Give yourself time and practice to know your sankalpa with clarity.

For now,

You might see if one of the following resonate with your soul song.

I am a vessel of overflowing love.

Or I love and accept all parts of me.

I am whole.

Or I am loving awareness.

Silently repeat your sankalpa three times,

Calling it in.

Feel the echo of your resolve resonating everywhere and let it go.

Let it be a seed you carry with you,

Within you.

Begin to scan the body with attention and awareness.

You are encouraged to remain awake and aware.

From your experience,

Just as it unfolds,

Trusting in the intelligence of your subconscious mind and your nervous system to know what it needs,

The benefits of this practice will be received in the ways that will serve you best in this moment.

Allow my voice to be your anchor.

Slowly resting now as you take a few moments to have a sense of your body as a whole,

From head to toe.

The outline of your skin,

The weight and volume of your body.

Notice the length of your arms and the length of your torso and legs down to your toes.

Notice the points where your body meets the support beneath you.

The heels and the floor,

The backs of the legs and the floor,

Feeling the shoulder blades,

Noticing where the arms and hands are resting,

The back of the head,

The whole backside of the body.

Now could you bring your attention to the big toes on both of your feet,

Noticing the sensations that you find here,

And then sense the little toes,

And then sense all 10 toes.

Can you notice the spaces between the toes?

Then sensing the soles of your feet,

The top of the feet,

The heels.

Allow your feet to soften and relax.

Sense both ankle joints and the skin,

The calves and shins,

The knees,

Thighs,

Welcoming sensations on the surface of the skin,

As well as sensations of the muscles in the back of the thigh and the muscles in the front of the thigh,

And perhaps a sense of the femur bone.

Muscles softening and becoming heavy,

Releasing their grip,

Letting go of any tension,

Falling away from the bone.

Bring presence along with breath into both legs as if you could breathe into your legs.

Sense both legs resting,

Filled with aliveness and awareness.

Let awareness expand to include your buttocks,

Hips,

And the perineum.

Notice any holding of energy here,

Gently releasing and sensing the tip of the tailbone and the sacrum,

And sensing the entire pelvic bowl.

Awareness soaking up into your lower belly,

Sensing the organs deep within,

And feel the lower back,

Mid-back,

Upper back,

Shoulder blades,

The rib cage,

And your chest.

Feel your lungs expanding and contracting,

Your heart beating.

Sense the length of your spine,

Feel how it gently curves through your body,

And notice the point where it meets the skull.

Sense your whole torso resting,

Shimmering with sensation,

Breath and awareness filling each body part,

And feeling the motion of the breath through the body.

As awareness now soaks into both shoulders,

Down the length of the arms,

And into your hands,

Down through the fingers to the fingertips,

Noticing the space between the fingers,

And the warmth and energy here in the palms of your hands.

Sense both arms and hands resting deeply,

Alive with awareness.

From the arms,

Attention moving up towards your neck,

Your throat,

And the breath in the back of the throat,

And from the throat to the tip of the chin,

Toward the hinges of the jaw,

And sensing both ears,

The outer structure of the ears,

And deep into the inner ears.

From the ears to the back of the head,

Crown of the head,

Center of the brow,

Softening the muscles around the forehead,

Sensing both eyebrows,

Temples,

Cheekbones,

The eyelids,

The eyelashes,

And sensing both eyeballs shimmering like orbs of sensation,

And sensing the bridge of the nose between the eyes and the nostril flares,

The flow of breath within the nasal cavity,

And noticing sensations inside the mouth,

The teeth and the gums,

From the tip of the tongue to the root of the tongue,

Inside the left cheek,

Inside the right cheek,

And notice the muscles used for smiling and used for chewing,

Whole face and head softening open.

Noticing again your breath,

Feel or imagine the whole body breathing,

As if you could breathe in and out through the entire body,

Whole body expanding and softening.

Imagine trillions of cells breathing in unison.

Imagine trillions of cells alive and radiant with awareness.

Trillions of cells,

Whole body,

Whole body resting so deeply.

Now begin to count the breath down from ten to one,

Inhaling and counting ten,

Exhaling ten,

Inhale nine,

Exhale nine.

Continuing down to one.

Letting that go,

Could you draw your awareness to the palm of your left hand.

Awareness coming to rest in the palm of your left hand.

Begin to sense,

Feel,

Or imagine you could breathe in through the palm of your left hand,

Up the length of your arm and into your heart center.

Pausing here at the heart center and switching sides,

As you exhale,

Breath and awareness cascade down the right arm and out through the palm of your right hand.

Then inhaling through the palm of the right hand,

Up the length of the arm and into your heart center.

Pausing at the top and switching sides.

Exhaling down the left arm and out through the palm of the left hand.

Breathing this way,

Alternating sides at the top of each inhalation,

And exhaling down and back out through the palm of the hand.

I will pull you out in a few minutes and release.

Just be still and notice any effects as you rest here.

Bring your awareness to the crown of your head.

Sense or imagine breathing in and out here at the crown of your head.

On your next exhale,

Imagine you could breathe out into the space just beyond your body.

Then breathing back towards the crown of the head.

And again,

As you exhale,

Imagine breath and energy fills the entire room you're in.

Inhale back up to the crown of your head.

Exhale and imagine breath fills the entire building you're in.

Breathing back to the crown of your head.

With each consecutive breath,

Expanding the breath out further and further.

Breathe out to the edge of the forest,

Ocean,

Or desert.

Breathing in back to the crown of the head.

Breathe out to the edge of the Earth's atmosphere and back.

Breathe all the way to the moon,

Back to the crown of your head.

Breathe out to the edge of the Milky Way galaxy and back to the crown of your head.

Breathe out to the farthest known edges of the universe and back.

Feel the vastness of your reach as you slowly come back to your body and let that go.

Bringing awareness now to rest at your heart center.

Going through this portal now,

Diving deeper and deeper still with every breath.

Coming home to your essential self.

Quiet ecstasy is here and a steady,

Regal sense of resting in a perfect spot.

Basking here in presence.

Conscious soul,

Remember.

You are wholly,

Fully,

And profoundly loved by existence itself.

Love is the connective tissue of all of existence.

Remember who you are.

As awareness is resting within the sanctuary of your heart center,

Sense breath and presence coming in and out here at your heart.

It is time to welcome back in your sankopa.

Notice you are welcoming back one of the following.

I am a vessel of overflowing love.

Or I love and accept all parts of me.

I am whole.

Or I am loving awareness.

Bringing it back in now three times.

So be it and so it is.

Feel your sankopa to be already true,

A seed with blueprints already within you now as you let it go.

Slowly begin to rise back up to the surface of awareness.

Sense the weight of your body,

The volume of your body,

The edges and outline of your skin,

The ground beneath you.

Sense awareness rising like the morning sun,

Tuning into the space where your physical body is,

Noticing your environment,

The texture of the fabrics on the surface of your skin,

The sensation of the atmosphere as it contacts your skin.

Noticing a moment to move once again from sound to sound.

Noticing moisture or taste inside the mouth.

Sensing any fragrances or aromas in the air.

When you feel ready you might begin to invite in a slow deep breath in through your nose and a long relaxed breath out through the mouth.

Perhaps taking one more breath just like that.

And the practice is now complete.

Eventually slowly start to reawaken the body,

Perhaps wiggling toes and fingers or gently turning the head from side to side.

Maybe taking a nice big stretch but giving yourself plenty of time to linger in the after effects of your practice,

Lingering here in your inner experience.

If it calls to you,

You might spend five or more minutes free writing in your journal,

Writing down any reflections,

Inspirations or insights.

Thank you for choosing to practice with me today.

Again my name is Christine and I so enjoy being able to share these practices with you.

Thank you for choosing to be here and for taking this invaluable time just for you.

May we keep showing up and keep returning home to ourselves again and again and may we always remember to follow the way of the heart for it will not lead us astray.

From my heart to yours.
