A common symptom of your attention being too focused outside of yourself is feeling: tired, scattered, and depleted. Depletion - the kind of fatigue where you are tired but can’t rest- is often a sign you have become vulnerable to picking up energies that aren’t yours. Depending on how depleted you feel, you may need to close your physical doors, go into a room, and shut the external world out. You definitely need to close your psychic doors. Let's do that now. Going Inward is always a good idea!

This guided energy practice is an invitation to pull your energy back inside of yourself,

To go inward.

A common symptom of your attention and awareness being overly focused outside yourself is feeling really tired and depleted.

And depletion is the kind of fatigue where you're tired but you can't rest.

And it can be frustrating and it's often a sign that you have become vulnerable to picking up energies that aren't yours.

So if you've been overly focused on external dramas that are happening outside of you or caught up in other people's energies or just feeling overly saturated by life,

You might feel like you don't have any skin any longer.

And you do have skin,

Even if it feels like things get inside of you,

That other people's energies affect you.

Energy can't ever penetrate your protective physical barrier of skin.

You are not a sponge.

You are just aware of energies.

So there's a definite inside and a definite outside.

And yet for sensitive people,

Some days it's a challenge to feel that physically.

So depending on how depleted you feel,

You may need to close your doors,

Go into your bedroom and turn off the lights and turn off the phone and shut everything out.

But you definitely need to close your psychic doors.

And that's what we're here to do,

To go inward together.

So take a moment to get comfortable.

And for this practice,

You're going to want to be seated in a place where you can feel your feet on the ground.

And let's start by becoming aware of your skin,

That wonderful protective barrier that keeps you inside you.

So let's feel the skin on your arms and your face and the backs of your legs,

Your thighs,

Your calves.

This is your boundary,

Your physical boundary.

It's a little cocoon,

If you will,

That wraps you up and holds your insides inside.

So feel your bottom on the soft seat and sink in a little bit and get cozy,

Maybe nestle in and feel your feet on the ground.

Notice how your feet are doing right now.

Do they feel stiff or relaxed?

A little chilled or comfortable?

Feel the surface underneath your feet,

The ground,

And send your grounding cords down through the bottoms of your feet and into the earth.

Just open up your awareness underneath your feet and allow your energy cords to gently travel down.

Now feel into your shoulder blades,

Which are currently being supported by the back of your chair.

Breathe into your muscles and tendons,

Opening up and loosening a little bit.

Now from front to back,

Bring your awareness into your sternum all the way back through your heart area,

Inside your chest cavity,

Back into your shoulders again,

And your spine.

Follow that awareness downward from the inside.

Your awareness trails down your front of your spine,

Past your rib cage,

Lungs,

Diaphragm,

Sort of dropping in down into your solar plexus,

Your stomach,

And allowing your awareness to sort of pool into your pelvic bowl.

It holds all of your digestive and reproductive organs.

Feel into the boundaries of your beautifully packaged internal organs,

How they are inside you,

Not out.

And feel your awareness just drop and settle,

Sink in,

Landing on your pelvic floor,

Maybe spreading out like liquid.

This is your seat of power.

And from this place,

You can use your intentionality to decide to pull all of your energy back to you,

Inward.

So decide right now.

It's just a decision.

It's that easy to turn off the psychic antenna that keeps you attuned to what's going on out there and instead get quiet.

Allow yourself to get lulled back into the solitary inwardness of your being.

And just imagine all of your energy and awareness now,

All that energy that has been focused on things,

People,

Concerns outside of you,

Just slowly returning to you.

As you pull back inside and you feel it all coming back,

And maybe you see it all coming back,

Maybe your energy has a color and it's consolidating now in your energy body,

Getting saturated.

Feel yourself coming back to you from the inside,

As though you are tucked inside a cozy sleeping bag or inside of a sweet cabin on a snowy winter's day.

You are back inside your own space now.

You are inward,

Fully inside your body now,

Fully taking up your energetic space.

You're softly inward.

Now feel your feet on the ground,

The seat that you're sitting on and your bottom,

Your shoulders being supported.

Feel the boundary of your skin again,

How it holds everything you are inside.

Feel this connection that arises from turning your awareness inward into yourself.

You can do this practice anytime and you can do this practice several times.

It took time to get this depleted,

So it may take time to restore you back to you.

Going inward is always a good idea.
