You have a seat of power.

It is a visceral and felt experience in your energy body,

Your root,

And it's located at chakras one and two,

Respectively.

Your root is part of your body's energy system and it is linked to your physical sense of safety,

Security,

Autonomy,

Creativity,

Sexuality,

And your connection to your divine feminine truth.

Your root not only helps you to feel safe and secure,

It also helps you to know,

Speak,

And embody your truth with clarity and objectivity.

So if you've been feeling easily swayed by other people's energies or shaky in your truth,

If you've felt out of your seat of power,

If you've felt uncertain about the legitimacy of what you feel and know,

If you are not trusting those deeper feelings that will always guide you towards your soul's authentic knowing,

If you are feeling unsteady in any of these regards or unsafe,

It's time to get back into your root.

So let's begin this root practice.

You'll want to be seated in a chair that will allow you to feel your feet on the ground.

So once you're here,

You want to lean back and feel the soft cushion behind you,

Supporting you,

And you want to settle in a little bit,

Moving through those same back muscles where you feel that support.

And imagine kind of moving into the shoulder blades,

Into your body,

And glide your awareness to the area behind your heart and in front of your spine.

There is a space here.

You may not have noticed this before.

This is called your center.

So feel into that open space.

Still inside your body,

Glide your awareness down,

Moving down the front of your spine and down past your diaphragm into your seat.

Take a few moments to sink a little more deeply into your seat and into your pelvic bowl.

So adjust,

Move your weight around if you need.

It may help to initially squeeze your buttock muscles or your sphincter or do a few kegels.

Just helping you to become aware of the area here where your butt meets the seat can make all the difference in your practice.

Now,

Similar to the way your favorite cuddly animal settles in,

You really want to try and nestle down into your bum.

So notice what's going on here in this area.

There may be sensation like butterflies or tension or congestion or emptiness even.

It's all okay.

Don't don't resist any discomfort you might feel here.

Instead,

Include it in your experience.

You are allowed to have all of it.

From the inside still,

Sense your digestive organs,

Your reproductive organs,

Your adrenals,

Those little kidney beans on top of your kidneys.

Sense everything that's going on here.

This is a busy area in your body.

A lot of essential organs,

Essential things happening here.

So sense the juicy,

Alive energy of your internal organs that are cradled within your pelvic bowl.

And if it works for you,

You might imagine the pelvic bowl as an actual bowl or as a protected sea cove or a natural spring.

But you want to feel the bullness or the way your pelvic bowl contains everything you need within it right here.

And also how it holds a natural boundary for you.

There are sharp edges in this dynamic cradle,

The sharp bony edges that hold all of these soft organs inside.

You also are allowed to have boundaries and be soft.

Now invite and allow your light energy to move through this area,

To expand into your tailbone and into the area behind and in front of your kidneys.

Feel your own sweet liquid light energy gently filling up this inner space.

Perhaps it has a color,

Maybe golden colors of sunset or purples,

Blues,

Pinks.

Breathe with it.

Allow it to expand and take up more space,

This energy of yours.

There is a strong sense of peace and power here for you.

Can you sense this?

Ask yourself,

Do I sense the peace and power here?

And then listen for your own answer.

Now invite and allow this wonderful light energy to move down from your pelvic bowl,

Maybe like draining a lake or a spring if that works for you,

Right through your tops of your thighs,

Bottoms of your thighs,

Knees,

Calves,

Ankles,

Heels,

Toes,

Feet,

Bottoms of the feet,

And into the earth.

If there's anything you need to know,

You would like to know at this moment,

You can ask,

What does my soul want me to know right now?

You may feel an energetic response,

A relaxation,

Or a release.

You may have received an image or an awareness.

Your root is a powerful place to receive your truth.

So once you are connected to your root,

You may find it easier as you do this practice to sit in your own authenticity.

So notice now how different you feel after doing this practice.

Do you feel a little more expanded?

Are you clearer maybe in your truth?

Do you feel a little more secure?

Whether you are taking a stand,

Presenting your ideas,

Or you want to connect to your own truth about anything at all,

This practice empowers inner knowing.

Being in your root is integral to feeling supple and aligned in your energy body.

So ideally,

You will want to make this practice a part of your everyday energy maintenance routine,

Because rooting helps you to stay in your own energy and stay neutral in emotional situations and be true to yourself.

I don’t often connect well to guided visualizations, but this really worked for me. I plan to repeat it. Thank you!
