Hello,
Dear one.
I am so grateful you are here for this evening reflection time.
This practice is a time to reflect and really feel into the glimmers of your day.
I like to think of glimmers as moments of calm and peace,
Of quiet noticing where your heart opens.
Often these moments are quite simple and small,
Like the spiraling descent of a golden leaf outside your window.
These small,
Simple moments are significant though,
For glimmers are the opposite of triggers.
They signal safety within the body,
Making us feel at ease and connected with ourselves and with the world.
So love,
I invite you now to shut down your eyes and soften into your seat,
Feeling into the support beneath you,
All the places where your body rests upon the furniture or the floor.
Let any tension in the hips or pelvic floor melt and unfurl as you breathe deeply into your base.
Rest here and remind yourself you are so held and so safe.
And now notice the rise and fall of your belly and chest as you inhale and exhale,
Softening the whole torso with every breath,
Residing within this body with deep devotion and care.
Continue to keep this thread of connection to the body and breath as you begin to reflect on your day without labeling the day as good or bad.
Just feel into the texture and rhythm of your day.
What did you do today?
How did you feel?
Who did you interact with?
What did you see and experience?
And then begin to bring to mind any moments of peace and calm,
Any moments of joy and love,
Of present moment awareness.
When did you feel connected to yourself or to the world around you?
These are all the glimmers.
And as you remember,
Take a moment to feel into each glimmer,
Welcoming this spark of goodness into your heart,
Letting it travel throughout the body.
Really breathe each glimmer in one at a time.
Rather than listing off your glimmers,
You are lingering in love with each one,
Marinating with this meeting place where you felt at ease and bringing it right here into this present moment.
And if you're having a difficult time remembering anything,
Let that be okay too.
There is no need to force yourself to remember.
Let the glimmers come to you rather than gathering them all up in the mind.
Just sit in this space between with your breath as your anchor.
And if you are connecting with these glimmers,
See if with your next few breaths,
You can expand into feeling more goodness,
More ease,
Letting this glimmer grow inside of you,
Seeing it as a spark of light that is moving throughout your whole body and even into the space in the room that you are in so that you are radiating,
Truly embodying the glimmers.
And now let the glimmers go and just take a moment here to feel into your heart,
Feel into your body.
Just repeat a few thank yous.
As you breathe in,
Thank you.
As you breathe out,
Thank you.
Breathing in,
Thank you.
Breathing out,
Thank you.
Letting the light of gratitude sing through your bones,
Radiating the spark of thankfulness from every cell.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Dear one,
You may continue to dwell here for as long as you desire.
And then when you are ready,
Connect with your seat,
Your breath,
And the room you are in.
Thanking your body and your whole being for this time and opening your eyes.
And my wish for you is that even when times feel dark,
Chaotic,
Or dense,
May you find a glimmer to guide you back home.
So much love to you.
