One of the best ways to remove any lingering layers of disturbed thoughts,
Daily disappointments,
And sticky emotions that may cling at the end of a day is to practice a clearing practice right before bed and to segue into sleep without this denser vibration still in your awareness and energy field.
Try this evening gratitude practice daily for as long as you feel results,
Which will build over time and gradually set the stage to create new,
Brighter possibilities for you,
One by one by one.
To do this,
Find a lovely,
Quiet spot in your home and collect a pad or some paper and a pen.
Do this in your winding down time,
About a half hour before bed.
You can pause the audio to get these now and we'll continue when you're ready.
As I describe certain techniques to try,
Simply hit pause to jot down your thoughts as we go,
Or you can listen and absorb these ideas to stimulate them in your consciousness to try later,
Whichever you'd like.
Now,
To begin,
Take any situation that may be bothering you from your day.
Anything that keeps rankling around in your mind and emotions,
And write something in the spirit of what I'm going to suggest.
Phrase it in your way,
Using words that are meaningful to you.
To do this,
It helps to believe in a higher power of some sort,
Something greater than yourself.
Whether you call that God,
The universe,
The generous and imaginative force that is nature in its magnificence,
Your creator,
Or however you view it.
Bring yourself into reverence for that powerful force that's both within you and supporting you from without.
And write,
For example,
Even though I'm upset about fill in the blank,
I thank my creator for bringing me into ever-increasing alignment with what is right for me and my highest good.
I see that coming to me as fill in the blank,
More loving relationships,
A prosperous week ahead,
A magnificent journey this weekend as I explore new places and people that delight me.
Pause the audio and write a few things that come to you now.
What did you discover?
Notice if you begin to feel hopefulness and warmth building within as you shift from what you don't want to that highest good you do want,
Leading you into tomorrow.
Now,
Read your words aloud.
Your spoken words will give resonance to what you've written and it will become more real.
The key is to acknowledge the disturbances,
Find something to learn or be grateful for about them,
Then affirm the bounty that is in store for you beyond them.
After all,
We live in an abundant universe and habitual negative impressions can deter us from seeing that and cloud our judgment to what is possible.
Like removing mist from a bathroom mirror after a shower,
In this way,
We correct our perception before bed for more peaceful sleep.
Now,

Thank you for and list small things that did go your way this day.
Name four or five.
Once written,
Again,
Speak them out loud.
Thank you for the good news I received in the mail,
The smile from that person outside that store,
Whatever it is.
Then thank the universal force itself for whatever you admire about it.
It's benevolence,
It's magic that appears when you least expect it.
It's playfulness,
How the sun,
The wind,
The ocean are inspiring touchstones for it.
Anything about this power you find to be grateful for.
Now check in and see if your internal vibration has lifted.
You may feel less dense energy weighing you down.
You may be delighted that something has shifted.
The key is to praise the current moment and diminish the smaller discomforts.
They will dissipate in the larger,
More vibrant field of awareness that is aligned with your true being.
Finish this practice by digging into the present and where you are.
For example,
Thank you,
My creator,
For bringing me this comfortable chair.
The heat in my home that makes me cozy.
The loving presence of my pet.
The possibility I now feel in the air around me.
Now add your thoughts.
End by saying,
I feel surrounded by love.
Love from my creator.
Love from myself to myself.
Resting within my own heart.
I wish the whole world will feel the ease and peace of mind I feel right now in this moment.
Now we'll look forward more specifically to tomorrow.
Find a fresh sheet of paper and write down the day you hope to wake up to in the morning and your intention for how you'll live it.
For example,
I see myself thriving and enjoying meeting and speaking with people at work.
I look forward to fill in the blank.
I thank my creator for bringing me these joys with all my heart.
Now your turn.
Put this note by your bedside and read it upon awakening before you get out of bed.
In this way,
You let these ideas marinate within you as you rise to begin your morning.
This practice is a perfect way to end each evening and set the stage for what's to come.
