This is an all-sensory "visualization" technique that offers insight into how to co-create in the present moment. It explores each sense, focusing on loved objects for each sense, to help shift the internal landscape of one's perception. By stimulating the senses and memory in this way, a lighter mood may result, as the loved objects become prominent in consciousness.

Transcript

Let's take a moment to lift our energy and spirits.

First,

Notice how you're feeling right now.

Just be aware of how you feel in this moment.

Body,

Mind,

And spirit.

Now let's begin.

Sit comfortably.

Close your eyes.

And bring your attention inward.

Breathe and relax.

First,

I'd like you to call to mind an image of something you love deeply.

Visualize this.

Your pet.

Your favorite vacation spot.

A loved one's smile.

Hold that.

Have it come into focus clearly with rich attention.

Next,

Consider a smell you love and add that to the visual scene you've just created.

A fresh strawberry.

A rose.

Vanilla.

Perhaps some mint.

Try to hold this impression simultaneously with the visual image.

Now add a delightful taste.

Chocolate.

A ripe peach.

The yummy texture of rice pudding.

Whatever it is.

Hold that impression too.

Now you have sight,

Smell,

And taste alive within you.

Make them vivid.

Remember it's all what you love.

Anything can happen in your scene.

Next,

Add touch.

Whether it's the sensation of silk,

The sand beneath your toes,

A comforter,

Or a loving hand on your shoulder,

Add that in.

Finally,

What do you hear?

A wind chime.

Your child's giggle.

The wind in the trees.

Whatever speaks to your heart.

Create with all your senses.

Now notice what you've created.

In just a few minutes,

You've orchestrated a symphony of sight,

Smell,

Taste,

Touch,

And sound.

Open your eyes and look around you.

Is the world a bit brighter?

Is the air around you a bit crisper?

Do you feel a warmth of spirit enveloping you?

Remember this exercise anytime you need a lift out of a dark mood or when life appears lackluster.

It will bring more brightness to your day.
