This grounding meditation will help counteract the unsteady energies of our time,

Which have left many people feeling as if the very ground they walk on is no longer the familiar territory it once was.

Many feel somewhat wobbly and not quite solid on their feet.

So today we'll focus from the ground up to aid a more secure footing and help energize your entire body.

We'll start with gentle movement to awaken your energy field.

Visualize to help open your body and consciousness.

Then do a light meditation.

Let's begin.

Please stand for a moment with your feet planted solidly under you,

Hip level apart.

Hold onto the chair if you need to and always modify any movement to be comfortable for you as we go along.

Now let's just release any tension or constriction beginning with your feet.

One by one,

Move your toes upward and outward.

Shift gently from the ball of your foot to your heels and shift side to side from big toe to little toe.

Also,

Point and flex your foot.

Each one.

Roll each ankle in a slow circle one at a time to release stagnant energy.

Now plant your feet again.

Let's bring some vitality into this moment.

Gently shake your body.

Starting with your left foot,

Going up your leg to your knee to your hip area.

That whole leg.

Waking these areas up.

Do the same with the right foot.

Shaking gently from foot to knee to hip.

Have the intention of releasing anything you no longer need to carry.

We all accumulate stresses throughout the day that we don't need to hold onto.

Now shake your hips gently going up your body,

Your belly,

Your torso,

Into your chest and into each arm,

Down to your hands and fingers.

As you move,

Add some sound to it to express how you feel.

Whatever comes to you,

Just shake,

Shake anything you don't need within you anymore and let it dissolve out of you.

Also very gently move your neck and your head.

Focus on your jaw and go up to your head and to your hair.

Do you feel more alive already?

Remember you can do this anytime you feel dull or stagnant energy within you.

Good.

Now stand or sit.

Your choice.

We're going to visualize now to waken your chakra centers.

Keeping these centers attuned will help you feel more grounded.

The chakra centers are subtle energy centers that connect you to your light body,

Which you may or may not know about.

The centers resonate to specific colors not ordinarily seen with your physical eyes,

But they do exist.

Now place your attention on your feet again.

We're going to imagine for a bit now.

Imagine that you actually have roots at the bottoms of your feet that extend deep into the earth.

Feel these roots going deeply down,

Anchoring you to the very center or core,

Much like roots of a large expansive tree.

Imagine that from the center of the earth,

A very rich color is lifting up to you through your roots.

A deep red,

Perhaps a warm brick red or ruby red.

Feel the energy of this color reaching your feet and enveloping them lightly,

Surrounding and supporting them.

Now feel the strength of your feet within this light.

Feel the red light move and flow up your ankles to your calves and knees all the way up your legs to the bottom of your torso and tip of your tailbone.

This is where your first chakra is located and the color red emanates from it.

Imagine that you are actually breathing in through your feet.

See this light extending out from the front of you through to the back of you and then emanating all around you.

Breathe.

Now this light will change a bit.

See the light begin to rise within you and gradually shift to an orange hue a few inches below your navel.

Let the color be that of pumpkin.

This area is a deep creative center in your body.

This is your second chakra color.

Feel your entire being expand with the inner glow of this light energizing you.

Breathe it in.

Red still exists below,

Running down to the ground.

Next see the light travel to your navel where it becomes a golden yellow hue,

Like the warm warmth of a radiant sun.

This is the area of your personal autonomy in the world.

Strengthen this center and you will feel its support through your day.

It is your third chakra center.

The more you can visualize this light in your mind's eye,

The more you'll help to activate these energy centers.

Next the golden light moves up into your heart space and there becomes a deep forest green or emerald green.

Green is the color of living things,

Plants,

Trees,

Grass.

This is also a space of love and compassion for you and all humanity.

Vibrating now in your heart space,

Breathe deeply and feel connected to all living things around you.

Plants,

Trees,

Grass,

Roots.

Remember you still have roots under your feet,

Anchoring you to the Earth's very center.

Next this beautiful light moves from the heart space into the area of your throat.

Light there is a lovely sky blue or turquoise blue.

This is where your words form and move into the atmosphere around you to reach others.

Feel the light there.

Breathe it in.

What a wonderful prism of light you are building within.

Remember these colors are within you always,

Whether you are aware of their presence or not.

Now from the throat,

See the light move up to the middle of your forehead just above your eyes.

Hear the color flowers to violet.

This is your sixth chakra and it is the seat of your imagination.

Breathe.

Feel this violet light radiate around you too.

Then see it blossom as it moves toward the top of your head.

Just above the crown of your head,

The light changes once more to a brilliant white light,

Which may have flecks of gold in it.

This is your seventh chakra.

Focus on the luminous white light above your head with its golden flecks.

This is the only color you'll need to see now.

You can let your roots go and let all the other colors leave your consciousness now.

Just breathe deeply.

Feel the breath expand within you,

Clearing out any disturbances.

And bring this beautiful white light from the top of your head to your neck,

To your chest,

Torso,

Belly,

Down your thighs,

Knees,

Calves and feet,

And beneath your feet.

See this light moving down through and around your body,

All the way from head to toe.

All the colors of the rainbow reside within the color white,

As do your chakra colors.

Feel the light all through you like a ray within,

From head to foot.

Bring some sound to it.

Ah,

Ah.

Now let's add a mantra as we feel this white light within.

Just feel your inner light.

Can you sense it?

Our mantra is Sat Nam,

Which means the truth within you,

Or the essence of you,

Or for the purposes of our meditation,

The light of truth.

Let's begin.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Remember the light within.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Sat Nam.

Continue as long as you wish.

Enjoy.
