When the world spins around us,

It's helpful to remember that we humans are not meant to be in constant motion.

This one-minute meditation is a reminder,

A gentle nudge to slow down.

In winter,

The earth reminds us to slow,

And we can use that reminder no matter what season it is.

Get into a comfortable seated position or lay down and close your eyes.

Now slow your breathing.

Make your exhales long and full of release.

Slow your thoughts.

Slow the to-do list that accumulates in your brain and trust it will be there for you later.

Slow yourself into a deeper place of calm.

Take one last slow breath in,

Slow breath out,

And remember you can come back to this place of rest any time.

Thank you.
