Wholehearted participation.
What does that mean?
What does it mean to you?
For me,
Wholeheartedly,
Would mean fully awake.
Fully here.
In it.
Awake.
Alert,
Aware.
Absolutely throwing myself all into this.
Participating for me means involving myself.
Including myself.
Joining in.
Do I do that in life?
Do I participate?
Wholeheartedly.
Are we present for all that life gives us?
For all the beauty that Mother Earth shows us on a daily basis.
The flowers,
A tree.
A sunrise,
A sunset,
The moon.
A dog,
A leaf.
That we see and appreciate the good in our life.
Are we present to our own breath?
This very gift of life.
Why not?
Because we are distracted.
Constantly by the mind.
This other thing grabs our attention and takes us away from this moment.
For my actual life.
This.
Here.
Now.
How would your life be,
Do you think,
If you lived like this?
If you wholly participated.
Like fully.
How would you stand?
How would your posture be?
What would your facial expressions be like?
How would we walk?
Speak.
Love.
If we were wholeheartedly participating in our lives.
Let's see what this means at an experiential level.
I just invite you to close down your eyes with me.
Become aware of your breath.
How often?
You take time to notice your own breath.
Our very life.
And yet we barely take any notice of it.
This precious gift.
What would it feel like?
To take a whole hearted breath.
To fully participate with this breath.
That comes without you having to do a thing about it.
What if you went with it?
What if you participated and joined in with this breath?
What if you remained fully awake and aware?
With your breath.
What would it feel like to take a breath like that?
Fully aware of the preciousness of this breath.
Of the value of this breath.
This breath most of the time we ignore.
Don't consider.
Can you turn towards your breath?
This one.
Turn towards it with the eyes of value.
With a recognition.
Of the preciousness.
Of this friend.
Wholeheartedly welcome this breath.
Join in with this breath.
Enjoy this breath.
Be grateful for this breath.
Thank this breath.
Love this breath.
Rejoice in this breath.
There is nothing more precious than this.
In you wholeheartedly.
Participate in your very next breath.
How different does it feel to take a breath in that way?
What does it feel like to take several wholehearted breaths?
Enjoying the whole journey of each one.
Admiring each one,
Valuing each one.
Honouring and remaining present with each one.
Seeing each breath as sacred.
And what about if we extended out from that?
Extended out to this moment.
About if we wholeheartedly participate in this moment.
In seeing the value of this moment.
Understanding the preciousness.
Of this moment.
Not knowing how many moments we might have left.
The value and the preciousness of this one.
And you wholeheartedly.
Participate.
Joining with.
Stay awake in.
Stay aware too.
Wholeheartedly.
Joining in with this moment.
Accepting,
Embracing,
Loving,
Being grateful for.
And the breath in this moment.
Together.
Wholeheartedly participating in your actual life.
Your actual breath.
In your actual moment.
You The only thing we know for certain.
Is what we have right now.
This breath.
This moment.
Taking this opportunity.
This final moment to just take another.
Wholehearted breath.
Just choosing to participate fully with it.
Being grateful for it.
Enjoying its company.
Like a good friend.
Imagine living like this.
How would you speak if you spoke all-heartedly?
How would you stand?
How would you walk?
How would you dance?
How would you love?
If you wholeheartedly participated in your life.
How could your life look?
And becoming aware of yourself in this space.
Where you are.
The wearer of your body.
You aware of how little you participate.
With your own body.
With your own life.
Whenever you feel ready,
Feel free to open your eyes.
Thank you.
