This week's short practice will be a practice on affirmations.
Repeating positive affirmations regularly can literally change your life.
Neuroplasticity is the ability of your mind to rewire itself.
So where you believe you have weakness,
Lack of ability or confidence,
You tell yourself you can.
Your brain doesn't know the difference between what is false and what is truth.
It just receives it and stores it.
So if you lay in bed in the morning telling yourself you can't get up and go to work and you don't even have the energy to get a wash,
Well those are the seeds you are planting.
So if you planted carrot seeds you wouldn't expect to see any cabbages coming up.
You would expect to grow carrots.
And that very same law applies to your mind.
Whatever you sow,
That will grow.
Sow negativity,
Weakness and lack,
You will grow that crap.
So today and every day start speaking positivity to yourself,
Over yourself and about yourself.
Do it today and every day,
Wherever possible.
It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not,
Just keep on doing it and watch what grows from those seeds you have planted.
Repeat the following sentences silently or out loud if you wish.
I will smile today.
I will be grateful for my heartbeat and my breath today.
I will walk a few more steps than usual today.
I will choose to speak positive and kind words today.
I will do something that will improve my health today.
I will dream of an adventure today.
I will do something that will make one person be happy today.
I will sing or hum a song today.
I will set an alarm on my phone to remind myself to say something nice to myself every day this week.
I will believe in myself today.
I will take care of my body today.
I will be kind to myself today.
I will listen to what my body tells me today.
I will not let others abuse or disrespect me today.
I will do what needs doing today.
I am strong.
I am confident.
I am loved.
I will smile today.
