Take a moment to find a position that feels supportive to your body.
Maybe you're seated on a cushion or chair,
Or lying down if that brings more ease.
Let your hands rest gently in your lap or by your sides,
Wherever they can be at peace.
If it feels safe,
Gently close your eyes.
This meditation is for your inner warrior.
The part of you that rises again and again to protect,
To serve,
To advocate,
To stand up when others cannot.
Your warrior is strong,
Your warrior is brave,
And even your warrior deserves rest.
Your fire won't burn out because you pause.
Your fire is sustained by your moments of care.
Take a deep,
Slow breath in,
Fill your lungs,
Fill your heart,
And as you exhale,
Imagine setting down the weight you've been carrying just for now.
Another deep breath in,
And as you release it,
Feel your shoulders soften,
Your jaw unclench,
Your chest open.
Let your breath settle into its own rhythm.
There is nothing to fix,
No one to save in this moment.
Just you,
Your breath,
Just this space to be.
With each inhale,
Silently say,
I am strong.
With each exhale,
And I rest.
Exhaling and I rest.
Let this rhythm move through you,
Soothing your nervous system,
Reminding your inner warrior that strength includes stillness.
Now imagine the light of your inner warrior's fire.
See how steady it is,
Even as you rest.
It does not flicker or fade as you pause.
Instead it burns clearer,
Brighter,
Nourished by the stillness.
Feel that warmth inside you,
A fire fueled not by exhaustion but by balance,
By care,
By moments like this.
Stay here and bathe in the light of your own courage and compassion.
Let yourself rest.
Let's inhale together,
Exhale through the mouth,
And begin to bring some gentle movement back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
Roll your shoulders,
And when it feels right,
Slowly open your eyes.
As you return to your day,
Remember this,
Your work in the world is sacred,
And so is the care you give yourself.
Remember,
To eat well,
Let food nourish your strength.
Remember,
To move your body,
Let exercise help regulate your nervous system.
Perhaps you could write,
Journal,
To give your mind and heart a place to land.
Lean on somatic tools,
Tools that help you release what is not yours to carry.
Your rest,
Your nourishment,
Your pause,
All of it fuels your purpose.
Your inner warrior deserves it.
Namaste.
