Fatigue can be the hardest thing to contend with some days. Rest through meditation is important for managing endometriosis fatigue because it allows the body and mind to relax deeply, reducing stress and conserving our precious energy.  By incorporating regular meditation, we can improve our overall energy levels and better cope with the chronic fatigue associated with endometriosis. This meditation is specifically designed for those days when the fatigue is at its worst and we just need some time to rest and recuperate - even just a little bit. Really hope it helps, warrior.  Massive thanks to Alex Wit from Pixabay for the beautiful background music.

Hello and thank you so much for joining me for this mind the pain mindfulness meditation aimed at reducing the stress,

Pain,

And anxiety caused by endometriosis.

Our fatigue can be one of the hardest things to overcome some days,

Even outweighing the effects of our pain sometimes.

The good news is even just small moments of meditation or rest can go a long way with managing our fatigue especially on the days when we just can't entertain it.

And from one endo warrior to another I invite you to give yourself permission to let go of any expectations or pressures you may be placing on yourself especially when you're feeling like this,

Reminding ourselves that this is a time for self care and compassion,

Not shame or guilt for wanting to be able to do more.

You are more than enough.

So now that we've settled that,

When you're ready I invite you to close your eyes or keep an unfocused gaze in front of you,

Whichever you prefer.

Sitting up straight or lying down,

Your head,

Shoulders,

Belly,

And full body slowly relaxing.

We'll begin by arriving in the stillness,

Slowing down our breath,

And leaning into its healing capacity to make us feel so much better.

So we'll just start by taking a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through the mouth.

And again another deep belly breath in and exhale releasing any tightness that's left in your body.

Great job.

I want you to just gently bring your awareness to your body.

Notice any areas of tension or discomfort without judgment.

Just simply acknowledge them and allow them to be present without wishing it were different,

As challenging as this can be.

With each breath imagine a warm soothing light filling your body,

Starting from the top of your head and slowly flowing down to your toes,

Gently melting away any tension or fatigue you may be experiencing.

Feel the soothing light center around the face and eyes,

Feeling it lift any heaviness in the head,

Allowing us to feel lighter,

Powering us with much-needed energy.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Just visualize your whole body completely surrounded by the soothing,

Soft healing energy of the light.

The energy is filled with self-love and compassion,

Wrapping you in a comforting embrace,

Reminding us that we're gonna be okay.

We'll just bring your attention back to your breath for a moment.

Notice the rise and fall of your chest with each inhale and exhale.

Allow your breath to become slow and steady,

Like gentle waves washing over you,

Bringing with them a sense of calm and tranquility.

With each breath imagine yourself letting go of any fatigue or heaviness weighing you down.

Picture it dissolving into the air,

Leaving you feeling lighter and more energized.

Feel the heaviness behind the eyes fully dissolve and lift,

Feeling calmer and more tranquil.

Before we return back to the room and life,

Just gently feel your body resting and relaxing.

Finally getting some much-needed peace,

Allowing us to fully release our fatigue.

When you're ready,

We'll just take another deep breath in through the nose,

And a nice slow exhale through the mouth.

One more time,

Deep inhale through the nose,

And a nice slow exhale in.

We'll wiggle the fingers and toes,

Do a nice gentle stretch,

And slowly open your eyes.

Remember on the days when you only had twenty percent in you,

And you gave it twenty percent,

You gave it a hundred percent warrior.

And as much as the fatigue can drag us down,

Mentally,

Emotionally,

And physically,

Remember to witness yourself with compassion and self-love.

That can sometimes be the simplest way to recharge our batteries,

Even just a little bit.

Go on now warrior,

You've got this.

Thank you, I could feel your compassionate and gentle encouragement. I would love a longer version of this - in those moments with strong fatigue when we can't get out of bed anyway a longer practice would be perfect!
