Thank you so much for joining me.
Today we will be doing a root chakra meditation.
The root chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with family,
With rootedness,
And with security.
So go ahead and get comfortable,
Whether that's taking a seat or lying down.
The goal is to make sure that you're not distracted by anything in your body.
And we'll start to pay attention to our breath.
So go ahead and take a nice deep inhale.
And as you exhale,
Just let it all go.
During these first couple of inhales and exhales,
We're going to be relaxing ourselves.
Relax your forehead.
Relax your tongue.
Relax your cheeks.
Let the tension in your neck and shoulders dissipate.
Relax your belly.
Relax your thighs and your hips.
Relax your knees and your calves.
Relax your feet.
And as you inhale,
Feel the breath against your nostrils as it comes in.
Feel it push against them as it goes out.
Feel the air as it enters the back of your throat.
And feel it as it pushes on the way out.
Feel the air as it fills your lungs and allow it to escape.
Go ahead and begin to envision the air as white light.
And pay attention to that light entering through the nose,
Passing the back of the throat,
And moving down into you.
And as you exhale,
Allow anything that doesn't need to be inside of you to just go.
Allow that light to carry it away.
And as you breathe in,
We'll follow that light as it goes down the spinal cord.
As it goes down your back.
And as it goes towards the root of your spine.
And we'll begin by focusing on the red orb that sits at the base of your spine.
And go ahead and visualize that red orb sitting there.
What does it look like?
How strong is the red coloring and how transparent is it?
Is it smooth or is it rough?
You can touch it and feel its temperature.
And as you breathe in more white light,
Allow that white light to feed into this root chakra.
And let it wash over it.
And as the white light mixes there,
Watch the color of the orb start to change.
And as the white light continues to mix with it,
Watch the orb as it expands.
See the red glow and continue to grow over your thighs.
Watch it move over your knees.
As it gets larger it touches the floor and covers the entire bottom part of your body.
And as you go ahead and breathe in,
Continue to bring white light to this chakra.
And continue to relax the forehead,
To relax the shoulders,
The back.
And watch as the white light continues to feed this red.
Notice if anything in the red changes,
The color becomes different.
If it continues to grow or if it remains the same size.
Have the edges gotten smoother or rougher?
Just notice it.
And as this red orb sits in your lap,
We're going to go ahead and visualize something or someone that brings us comfort.
Now that might be a person in your family,
A friend,
A blanket,
A piece of jewelry.
Something that when you look at it,
You feel confident,
You feel secure,
You feel grounded.
Now once you have that image strongly in your mind,
Internally,
It will say,
I am safe,
I am rooted.
I am secure,
I am rooted.
I am okay,
I am rooted.
Now go ahead and take the object or the picture of the person.
And you're going to go ahead and place it into the red orb.
And let it sit there.
And bring in some white light.
Let it go and move through the red orb as that object or picture takes hold in that red orb.
As you leave it there for yourself or whenever you need to come back to it,
It will be there.
And as you continue to inhale and exhale,
Watch the orb as it starts to contract smaller.
Watch as it continues to recede back into the base of your spine.
And notice what it feels like as it does that.
Notice the temperature at the root of your spine.
Notice the color as it continues to grow smaller.
And notice how you feel as you welcome it.
Go ahead and follow your exhales as they begin at the root of your spine.
Follow the air as it travels up through your sternum and out your nose.
Notice the air as it moves from your belly and up through your chest.
Follow your breath against the back of your throat and out through your nostrils.
And as you continue to breathe,
Continue to move this white light in and out of you.
And slowly flutter your eyes open.
And you can remain seated knowing that you are safe,
That you are secure,
That you are okay,
And you are rooted right here and right now.
And whenever you need a reminder,
Remember what you left yourself in your root chakra,
As it will stay there as comfort for you whenever you need it.
Go ahead and take one deep inhale in and let it out through the mouth.
Now that will complete the meditation.
And hopefully as you go on about the rest of your day,
You'll take time to notice how your root feels,
How it shows up for you in different patterns throughout your day and throughout your week,
And what it means to you to feel rooted and grounded.
Have a good rest of your day.
Take care.
