So let's talk about procrastination.
We all do it.
I'm guilty of it too.
Sometimes it's fear.
Sometimes it's doubt.
And sometimes we just don't know where to begin.
But procrastination isn't a failure.
It's often just a sign that something feels too big,
Too unknown,
Or too uncomfortable to face all at once.
So let's begin by pausing.
Just take a slow,
Steady breath in.
And gently exhale.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your jaw soften.
There's nothing to fix in this moment.
Only space to notice.
Now bring to mind something that you've been avoiding.
And not to guilt yourself.
Just to see it clearly,
Without pressure.
What's it feel like in your body when you think of it?
Is it tight?
Heavy?
Maybe even numb?
Whatever comes up,
Just breathe with it.
You know,
Sometimes the most powerful shift happens not through any effort,
But just through awareness.
When we allow ourselves to be with whatever we've been avoiding,
We begin to take away its weight.
So right now,
Just ask yourself,
Gently,
What's the smallest next step that I could take,
If I wanted to?
And remember the words of Martin Luther King Jr.
You don't have to see the whole staircase.
Just take the first step.
You can maybe let that be your mantra as you move throughout your day.
You don't have to do it all.
Just one step.
One breath.
One moment at a time.
And that is more than enough.
Thanks for joining me.
