Welcome to Meditation Tides with Michelle Sanctuary,

Where the tides of your imagination carry you on a healing journey.

You are listening to The Hurt Break,

A meditation to bring relief from emotional pain and mental anguish so you may find your way back to feeling good.

I'm Michelle,

Your guide on this journey.

Think of me as a long-time empathetic friend,

Ushering you to a place of peace and possibility.

Together,

We will step away from what's weighing you down and create more space for love,

Joy,

And hope to return.

The more often that you listen and immerse yourself in this practice,

The more your mind and body will get used to feeling safe and imagining better outcomes.

Find a comfortable space to relax and settle in.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath,

Inhaling calm and lightness.

Feel your lungs expand as you invite in a refreshing wave of newness.

And as you exhale,

Imagine releasing any tension,

Worry,

Or hurt.

With each breath,

Feel your body letting go.

Each breath in,

A little brighter.

Each breath out,

A little lighter.

Take this moment to honor yourself.

You've shown up to give yourself a break,

And that deserves to be celebrated.

It is enough.

You don't need to fix anything right now.

You don't need to carry anything.

You're not ready to hold.

All you need to do is breathe and simply be.

Now,

In your mind's eye,

Imagine yourself standing in the middle of a beautiful field.

The silky blades of grass create a soft cushion beneath your feet,

Swaying gently in the breeze.

Wildflowers perfume the air,

And the wind reassures you with gentle caresses,

Causing your lightweight clothing to ripple.

Above you,

The sky is a vast,

Endless blue,

Stretching far beyond the farthest point you can see.

It is a place of infinite possibility.

It's just you and the sky.

Now,

In your hands,

You hold a baseball bat,

Solid and strong.

It can be any size,

Made of any materials,

And any color you wish it to be.

It feels just right in your hands.

A sphere begins to form and hover in front of you.

It's translucent like a crystal ball,

And inside you see the things that have been bothering you.

These are your worries,

Your fears,

Your hurt,

Swirling inside the sphere like tiny stories playing out.

But notice how you're standing outside of the sphere.

Sense the separation as you peer into it.

You suddenly feel in control of all the things that have felt out of control.

Now that they are contained,

These things were taking up far too much space inside of you.

Take a deep breath,

Feeling the strength in your body,

And when you're ready,

Swing the bat.

Feel the bat as it connects with the sphere,

Launching it high into the sky.

Watch as this orb of hurt soars higher and higher,

Becoming smaller and smaller until it disappears into the endless gradient of soothing blues.

With each swing,

You send away something that no longer serves you.

You may not feel ready to get rid of all of these things forever.

And as you heal,

There may be relationships or certain things you wish to revisit someday.

But for right now,

Take pleasure in launching them into the infinite space before you.

Now,

Swing and release as many times as you need to,

As many times as you want to.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

And as the final sphere is launched into the sky and vanishes,

Take a moment to notice how the world around you begins to change.

The colors in the field grow more vibrant.

The sky seems brighter.

The breeze becomes even more soothing.

The world is magnified in its beauty,

A reflection of the lightness now inside of you.

You stand in this meadow,

Free and weightless.

The discontentment that once held you down is gone.

And in its place,

You feel a deep sense of inner peace,

Of calm.

You are strong.

You are resilient.

You are capable of letting go.

Every burden you release opens space for bliss,

For love.

Imagine filling this space,

Like filling a cup,

With all the things that make you feel good.

You sit amongst the rows of wildflowers and sat in the emerald grass,

Feeling the warm sun and gentle breeze on your face.

Grounded in all this beauty,

You sense the cup within you,

Filling to the brim,

Warm waves undulate through you.

And your mind drifts to the possibilities,

To the hopes you now have the courage and energy to explore.

You feel whole.

You awaken to all the things you wish to do with this one fabulous life you have.

Take a few more deep breaths,

Savoring this precious moment.

The rolling verdant hills,

The powdery blue sky,

The sparkling honeyed sunlight.

They are always here for you,

Whenever you need to close your eyes and take a break.

Feel an orb of protection form around you,

Safeguarding you from anything that dares to interrupt your peace.

And when you're ready,

Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Wiggle your fingers and toes and take this sense of serenity with you.

Carry it along through your day,

Knowing you are free to let go whenever you need to.

I am Michelle and I thank you for joining me on this journey.

Let these meditation tides guide you whenever you need them.
