Take a moment to adjust your body,
Ensuring you are as comfortable as possible.

Releasing yourself deeper than you thought you were capable to go.
As you drift on a wave of trust,
Embrace the softness of this moment,
A soft sigh,
A soft voice leading you to soft places,
The softness of your bedding,
The softness of the muscles in your face as your jaw releases.
The softness of each breath comes to the forefront of your mind as you draw in a slow,
Deep breath.
Inhale through your nose,
Filling your lungs to their greatest capacity.
Feel the breath expand in your chest,
Your ribs,
Your belly.
Exhale gently through your mouth,
Letting it all go in a sigh,
Making a sound if that helps.
Again,
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
You may add a yawn anywhere you like if it helps invite sleepiness in.
With each breath,
Allow your body to relax further,
Your mind to become quieter.
I'm going to begin a slow,
Gentle countdown from 10.
With each number,
You'll feel a deeper sense of peace and you'll invite a cool,
Gentle mist to flow through your body,
Carrying with it a powerful sense of ease.
Begin at the top of your head.
Feel the skin on your scalp and face soften.
A cool,
Silvery,
Lavender,
Lightweight mist is flowing in,
Relaxing your forehead and your temples,
Leaving them completely smooth.
Nine.
The healing mist drifts into your jaw,
Unwinding any tightness.
And then into your neck.
You feel your shoulders release,
Dropping away from your ears.
All connective tissue becomes like ribbons,
Gently flowing on the breeze,
Drifting through the mist.
Eight.
The mist now flows down your arms,
To your elbows,
Your feet,
Your wrists,
Your hands,
All the way to your fingertips.
It feels light and mentholated,
Carrying away any tension or discomfort you may have held with a cool reprieve.
Seven.
The mist eases inflammation and frayed nerve fibers,
Made supple by its touch,
Gently weave themselves back into a place of balance and calm.
Eight.
The mist floats into your chest and heart.
Feel your heart beat with a soft,
Steady rhythm.
Your breathing is gentle and effortless.
Six.
The mist continues to flow,
Filling your stomach and abdomen with a soft,
Calming and cooling energy.
You feel grounded,
Yet so light.
Seven.
The mist now flows into your hips,
Your pelvis,
Releasing all the day's sitting and standing,
All the day's movements.
Eight.
The mist drifts down your thighs and knees,
Soothing every muscle and joint,
Carrying away any soreness or fatigue.
Nine.
The mist reaches your calves and ankles.
The healing energy flows down,
Down,
Down,
A gentle current.
Ten.
Two.
The mist reaches your feet,
All the way to your toes.
You feel completely light,
As if floating,
As if you are without weight.
Eleven.
You are now fully enveloped in this healing mist.
This cool,
Soothing balm allows your entire body and mind to feel weightless,
Free,
And at peace.
Twelve.
You are ready to ease into the night.
Imagine yourself walking on a moonlit path that leads to a secret forest.
Only you know the way and are led by intuition.
The night is so still and full of promise.
The quietude awakens a deep wisdom in you that inspires trust.
Thirteen.
You feel so comfortable in your body as you navigate the night,
Glancing at the canvas of stars,
Glittering overhead with hope.
Fourteen.
They urge you on with each twinkle,
As if in Morse code.
They reveal that you are on the right path.
The clean,
Cool night air purifies you with each deep breath.
Fifteen.
As your feet leave impressions in the damp moss and fallen leaves along the forest floor,
Pinecones dapple the dewy path atop a bed of rusty orange-evergreen needles that scatter as you walk.
You take slow,
Deliberate steps,
Balancing your hands on the cool bark of ancient trees.
Their looming presence offers a sense of protection.
Their longevity a sense of grounding that resonates and reminds you of your own resilience and inner strength.
You feel a stirring curiosity as a soft,
Shimmering mist appears.
Rolling in gentle waves over the forest floor.
Moonlight catches its silvery,
Translucent clouds,
Adding a shimmery opalescence.
The mist offers a gentle,
Peaceful energy rising from the forest floor.
You feel its cool droplets against your bare skin,
Forming a refreshing and light veil of renewal.
There is nowhere else to be,
Nothing else to do.
Only this moment,
Mystical and soothing.
You take your first step into the heart of the healing mist.
It is soft and gentle,
A light,
Dreamy haze that swirls all around you.
As you stand in its center,
You begin to notice that your rigid thoughts,
Those heavy,
Solid forms you brought with you,
Begin to change.
They soften,
Their edges blurring.
They begin to seem less important,
Less permanent.
The mist moves around you,
Showing you with its dreamy forms that all your rigid thoughts and all the rigid discomfort do not mean the world is rigid.
The world,
Like the mist,
Is fluid and full of possibility.
As you spend this time in the mist,
Feel it working its healing magic.
Imagine it cleansing and soothing every part of you,
From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
It transforms sensations in regions of discomfort,
Freeing trapped energy and changing familiar signals and patterns that never feel good.
On a cellular level,
Your body responds,
Dialing down signals of pain or tension as messages of peace flow through you.
Breathe in the mist and feel it travel to every corner of your being.
As you close your eyes,
You can see internal patterns of energy in your body flowing.
The healing energy of the mist moves to any physical pain you might be carrying,
A tightness,
A soreness,
Or a dull ache that has become too familiar and you wish to let go.
Visualize the mist gently wrapping around that area.
Softening the tension.
Releasing the pressure and easing the discomfort.
Feel the mist flowing into your heart,
Soothing any emotional weight or sadness you've carried throughout the day.
It is washing away the burden of frustration,
The residue of anxiety,
And the heaviness of disappointment.
The mist appears so quickly,

And as you observe it,
And as you feel it,
A realization comes to you so too healing can come faster than we expect when we allow it in.
This is the gift of the mist.
It shows you that you don't have to struggle.
You don't have to force it.
All you have to do is be here,
Allow it,
And it will wash over you now.

Releasing all the tension and heaviness.
This is not a struggle.
It's a surrender.
The mist is teaching you to trust the process.
To believe in the quiet,
Powerful strength within you that knows how to heal.
Now gently,
You are guided through the mist to a small,
Cozy cabin.
A warm,
Golden light glows from the lead-painted windows,
And a wisp of ebony smoke curls peacefully from the chimney.
Visualize this cabin the way you wish it would be.
It's so much more than a secret cabin in the secret woods.
It is a representation of your inner home.
The very core of your being.
The place where you may turn to when you seek time to recover and find repose.
As you walk to the door,
Feel your feet hover above the earth.
More aware of the lightness of each step when it's mid-air than the gravity of when it lands on the earth.
Focus on the gentle silences between each breath and each step.
The mist parts,
And you are filled with a sense of peace and belonging as it reveals a clear pathway to your cabin.
You ascend the steps,
Open the door,
And cross the threshold.
The mist protectively hugs around the cabin,
Ensuring nothing may interrupt this quiet,
Healing night of rest.
Its soothing essence stays within you,
Even as its silken presence on your skin begins to evaporate in the warm glow of a fire within your cabin.
The dry air envelops you with a scent of cedar and a faint peppery hint of wood smoke.
A small fire crackles in the hearth.
A constant,
Steady light.
You look around to find everything here is for your comfort.
Items throughout life that have given you a sense of home,
A sense of belonging,
Are found in the secret cabin.
They remind you of certain points on the timeline of your life.
That life can be beautiful.
That softness is abundant when you seek it.
That feeling so very tired as a heady wave of sleepiness intensifies delightfully with each step.
You find your way to a soft bed,
Layered with fluffy blankets.
Freshly laundered sheets and plush pillows that invite you with their downy comfort.
You move toward it,
Feeling a deep sense of relief and calm.
As you slide beneath the covers,
You notice the comforting weight of your bedding,
How it grounds you,
Tucking you into this safe,
Private moment where you may go to heal in peace.
No other voices,
No other thoughts,
No interruptions may dare to interfere with your healing and deep sense of peace.
This is your sanctuary of safety.
The healing mist continues to swirl gently outside.
A dreamy,
Softening presence just beyond the window,
Like a silk casing promising protection.
In this sacred forest,
In this sacred cabin,
You connect with your essence.
You can simply be.
In this place of stillness,
You don't need to listen to anything except the beating of your heart and the longing of your soul.
The fire is like your essence,
Constant and warm.
The outside world,
With its many changes and judgments and pressures,
No longer matters.
