This time allow the gentle currents of your breath to carry the words,

As you breathe out,

Let the word relaxed cascade like a waterfall of light,

Easing away any tension or resistance.

Inhale and exhale.

This time with a positive affirmation that feels right for you,

And then exhale,

Choosing any adjective that fits your mood right now and presents the way you wish to feel.

Your physical form stays put while your mind traverses new imaginative worlds.

Dreams occur often multiple times during a session of sleep,

Offering abundant opportunities for lucidity.

Within a dream,

Everything can feel remarkably real,

Allowing you to shape your environment,

Interact with objects,

And meet dream figures.

As we proceed,

You may notice the ethereal markers that distinguish dreams from waking reality.

In a lucid dream,

Surreal indicators remind you that you're exploring a dreamscape.

Seal in a sense of safety as your attention turns to your body,

And we continue to create a clean,

Healing slate.

Imagine bands of rainbow light washing over you.

Each hue carrying,

Encouraging,

Tranquilizing energy.

Every color is vibrant,

Mesmerizing,

And weaves around your body.

This is your first chance to fully orchestrate an imaginative experience.

Begin with vibrant,

Ruby red light flowing gently over your feet and ankles,

Grounding you to the earth.

Feel any tension dissolve into warmth and stability.

Now a wave of vivid orange light rises,

Embracing your calves and knees,

Bringing creativity and fluidity.

Feel any stiffness release,

Allowing for ease.

Next,

A soft glow of sunshine yellow light warms your thighs and hips,

Dissolving any tension as our hips are often a holding place for this.

And you find any stress is replaced with confidence and inner sunshine.

Next,

A calming band of lush kelly green light washes over your belly and lower back,

Bringing balance and harmony and allowing for bone-deep comfort.

Next,

As the light ascends,

A radiant band of sky blue flows over your chest and heart center,

Opening your breath,

Lightening your lungs,

And filling you with peace and expansive calm.

Next,

A shimmering band of deep indigo light involves your neck and throat,

Releasing unspoken words or tension,

And inviting clear communication.

And finally,

A brilliant band of violet light bathes your face and the crown of your head,

Clearing your mind,

Enhancing your intuition,

And connecting you to higher wisdom.

Next,

You play two roles,

The relaxed sleepy soul experiencing these joyous bands of color,

And the observer seeing yourself from the outside looking in.

Next,

You shuffle effortlessly back and forth,

Experiencing the colorful light firsthand and observing the prismatic wave undulate over you.

Next,

This dual perspective gently prepares you for heightened awareness in your dreams.

Now,

From the crown of your head to the soles of your feet,

You receive the full,

Magnificent flood of rainbow light,

Washing over your entire being simultaneously.

Feel it cleanse and purify every cell from the inside out,

Leaving you profoundly serene and utterly weightless.

You surrender with the same ease a floating object surrenders to the gentle,

Moonlit blue lake water lapping against a pebbled shore.

Continue to observe and enjoy both seeing and being a person who is content and at peace.

Next,

Captured by this delicate moment,

You easily see the shades of red,

Orange,

And yellow,

Blending into a palette of green,

Blue,

Indigo,

And violet.

Next,

You reach your hands through the waves of color,

The lush gradients that flow together seamlessly with an iridescent glow,

Feeling their subtle,

Energetic presence.

Next,

As you breathe in and out,

You long to stay in this pleasant state.

Your body feels as light as if floating effortlessly across a silky lake,

And purified within,

Your lungs and mind are clear.

This clarity is a precious gift.

With this clean slate,

You enter the perfect state of drifting between sleep and a lucid dream.

As you waft between wakefulness and slumber,

Remember,

You are the scriptwriter,

Actor,

And director.

You design the sound,

You design the environment for all that may be unveiled in your dreams.

You need not commit to a dream's details.

Your mind has the full power and freedom to change it on a whim.

And you may always bring yourself back to your intention by saying to yourself,

Tonight,

I will lucid dream.

And now,

Our journey begins.

Visualize yourself resting gently on a plush gingham blanket,

Spread on a patch of lush,

Dewy grass at the very edge of a serene lake.

Notice the color of the fabric and the velvety,

Fuzzy touch of its weave.

Feel the coolness of the dewy grass beneath your bare feet that extend beyond the blanket's fringe to the soft,

Individual blades gently tickle your skin or weave between your toes,

Grounding you as the day begins to gracefully fade.

What do you see as you glance above at the sky?

Imagine it's the kind of sky that inspires a painter's masterpiece.

A breathtaking sunset unfolding just for you.

Do you notice how vivid colors stretch across the horizon?

What colors do you see?

Fiery oranges,

Perhaps,

Bleeding into soft,

Blushing pinks,

Touched by streaks of gold and amethyst.

How do these radiant colors appear as they are mirrored flawlessly on the lake's glassy surface?

They create a double vision of captivating beauty.

Notice how the brushstrokes of color are captured on the lake.

See how they change when ripples form.

Take a deep breath and draw in the soothing smells that fill the air.

Begin to recognize the aromatic notes that you detect.

Is there the crisp,

Clean scent of fresh lake water,

Cool and mineral,

Mingling with the sweet,

Delicate perfume of blooming wildflowers?

Perhaps the gentle,

Honey-like aroma of clover.

Or the faint,

Powdery scent of evening primrose lingers in the air.

As the air cools,

Do you notice the subtle,

Comforting aroma of damp earth and verdant foliage?

A rich,

Living scent that connects you to this place further.

Now open your awareness to the soundtrack of the lake.

Can you hear how each sound comes together like an orchestra warming up?

Each instrument finding its place in the sound.

Do you perceive the low,

Rhythmic hum of unseen crickets beginning their evening song?

A gentle,

Almost imperceptible buzz that joins the melodic lapping of the lake.

Can you distinguish the subtle sussurations of a feathery pine branch in the lake breeze from the sounds of leaves rustling?

Do you hear the distant,

Ethereal call of a loon across the water?

A single,

Resonant note that echoes,

Deep and profound,

Creating an overwhelming sense of tranquility.

Allow yourself to feel awestruck and for the sensation to flow through your body.

Consider what calming ideas settle in your mind.

The vastness of the lake and the infinite expanse of the sky serve to remind you that you're part of something much larger.

And as you feel connected,

You also feel at peace.

Can you feel a gentle exhalation from the atmosphere itself as the air cools subtly and deepens with the fading light?

Its warmth gradually replaced by the refreshing,

Invigorating embrace of twilight.

And yet,

The plush blanket below retains a gentle,

Lingering warmth from the day's sun and from your own body heat.

It's a comforting anchor that grounds you once more.

Now,

Imagine rising effortlessly from your blanket and meandering on a soft,

Yielding path along the water's edge.

Notice how your bare feet feel against the cool,

Soft earth.

Occasionally encountering a smooth,

Cool pebble or a patch of velvety moss.

Is there a lightness of being in your stride?

A sense of buoyancy as if you're momentarily freed from the limitations of gravity.

Does it feel as though you could fly?

In the sacred place,

There are no limitations.

Why not give it a try?

Perhaps you can feel yourself becoming lighter,

Lifting slightly with each step.

Can you envision yourself hovering above the water like a dragonfly?

The cool mist from the lake's surface landing on your face and arms with an invigorating kiss.

As you venture onward,

Curious and attentive,

How do your sensory perceptions intensify,

Making the world around you more vibrant,

More alive,

More otherworldly?

What distinct aromatic notes do you luxuriate in?

The blossoming night,

The sweet earth,

The minty evergreens,

And the purity of the lake water.

Notice how each breath fills you with calm energy,

Keeping your mind clear and open.

Continue on the path now as the gentle night breeze whispers through the trees and dances across your exposed skin.

It's easy to understand why dreamers have sought solace in places like this.

Every part of this landscape evokes a beguiling escape.

As the vibrant sunset hues fade,

The sky deepens into a magnificent,

Velvety indigo.

Much like the band of color that once wrapped around you.

The first bright stars begin to twinkle,

Then multiply,

Doubling and tripling until the celestial expanse above is a breathtaking display.

It would take all night to even count all the stars in a quadrant of the expansive sky.

You notice a soft,

Inviting golden glow in the near distance,

Shining through the deepening twilight.

It's a beacon,

Drawing you in with a magnetic force.

The light guides you to a cozy,

Modern cabin nestled discreetly among the trees.

Again,

You become the participant and observer in this journey.

You see yourself wandering by the lake,

Beneath the indigo sky,

Blazing with millions of glittering stars.

You exercise the freedom to go back and forth,

Observing yourself from afar and experiencing the serene lakeside path.

The deep blue cast of the night conjures a sleepy feeling as you step closer and closer to the cabin.

You arrive at a smoothed stone patio and you count each step as you ascend,

Dipping into your subconscious mind as you go deeper and deeper.

Down.

Two.

Three.

Continuing to venture down.

Seven.

You arrive at the landing,

Surrounded by the subtle glow of moonlight.

The night's perfume becomes richer in the cool air.

The patio leads to wide open doors,

Revealing a bedroom suite.

A heady wave of drowsiness guides you to the room.

Your eyes become tired and heavy as you enter the space and your feet land on the cool,

Smooth floor.

There's a soft glow emanating from within.

There's a porcelain basin of lavender water and a plush washcloth that you use to cleanse your face and hands and then your feet.

You dry off and change into a pair of silky pajamas.

Your feet guide you to a fluffy rug beside the bed and they begin to sink into the plushness.

You pull back a soft quilt and settle into the crisp sheets.

Safe in this cabin by the lake.

It takes mere moments before you're comfortable and falling asleep.

Your mind begins to wander,

Transitioning from one dreamscape to the next.

As if turning through the pages of a picture book.

You shuffle between all the potential places that you could go.

Once again,

You waver between being the observer and the participant.

You enjoy a sensation of disconnect as you observe yourself nestled in the bed in the cabin by the lake beneath the starry sky.

You can change vantage points,

Drawing in to experience the moment.

Intimacy of the moment.

Or drawing out to take in the expansiveness of the world beyond you.

Your mind becomes a remote control,

Letting you change channels to any programming that appeals to you.

You can go deeper into experiences by giving them your attention.

Or pass through them to something that appeals more.

Within the protective walls of the lakeside cabin.

Nestled in the cool,

Comfortable bed of a dim room,

Something magical begins.

The walls and roof above evaporate,

Becoming transparent.

The ceiling opens to connect you.

With a star-dusted sky directly above.

The walls become floor-to-ceiling windows,

Offering an unparalleled,

Panoramic view of the night.

The cabin transforms to become a sanctuary,

Entirely open to the cosmos.

It begins to float.

You see the serene lake shimmering below,

Illuminated by the gentle glow of the moon and starlight.

The awe-inspiring universe unfolds before you with swirling galaxies.

Nebulae blooming like cosmic flowers.

And countless stars glittering with ancient light.

You're immersed in the grandeur of creation,

Witnessing the dance of planets and the silent majesty of distant moons and suns.

This expansive view fills you with wonder.

A profound feeling that anything is possible.

This is a direct reflection of the infinite possibilities you tap into when you lucid dream.

Just as the cabin opens to the universe,

Your mind opens to boundless potential.

It feels natural to glide,

Easy to forget,

Ever being tethered to Earth by gravity.

You exhale through pursed lips,

And your breath takes on the wind's strength.

Blow at the stars and watch as they swirl and form shapes at your command.

One idea is a ticket to the oasis of your choice.

It's truly that easy.

You feel so light,

Awash in the iridescent glow of the moon,

As you fly away,

Traveling through space and time.

You're drifting deeper now,

Nearing the soft,

Blurry edges of your dream.

As you cross this invisible border,

All sensations elevate and enhance.

You become acutely aware of your surroundings,

Appreciating every intricate detail with a clear mind.

You are open to each sensory experience,

As you lucid dream at will.

Within the boundaries of this dream,

It feels wonderfully surreal.

Colors saturate your dreamscape,
