This is Michelle from Me Time,

And I am going to be guiding you through a meditation that will help you sink into a restful and restorative sleep.

Delta waves are embedded into the music of this session to help with deep sleep,

Anxiety,

And relaxation.

Before we begin the guided section of this session,

Let's take some time to settle into a position where you sleep most comfortably.

I suggest starting by lying on your back if that is available to you,

And moving as needed.

When you're comfortable,

I want you to begin to breathe deeply in and out through the nose,

And start to visualize the night sky as a vast canvas of twinkling beautiful stars.

The deep dark blue and black sky is a stark contrast to the bright stars,

And yet they pair perfectly together.

Let us honor the dualities of light and dark,

Of motion and stillness,

Of day and night,

And of wake and sleep time.

We must surrender to the powers of yin and yang that surround us,

So that we may balance the energies that live within us.

Now I want you to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth,

Beginning with me now,

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.

Two more times,

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.

One more time with me now,

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.

Let it all go.

Starting to refocus on your night sky,

While you see the sparkling stars and clear crisp mist before them,

Begin to look towards the moon.

Notice its color,

Its shape.

Is it waning or waxing?

Is it a full moon,

A crescent moon?

Like the moon,

We go through phases,

Phases in our work,

Our relationships,

Our circumstances,

Our emotions,

And our aspirations.

Know that whatever phase of life you are in,

You are exactly where you are meant to be.

Even when the moon is covered in clouds,

Its light still shines on and it will reveal itself in full when it is ready.

Continue to breathe deeply in and out through the nose.

Now allow the glow from your moon to shine brightly through the sky and onto your resting body.

This lunar glow feels relaxing and calming.

Now picture this glow as a beacon of cooling light focused at the top of the head,

Making its way down the forehead,

The eyelids,

The nose,

The jaw.

As it moves downward,

Allow it to turn off any tension you are holding in these areas,

Allowing them to become loose,

Heavy,

And relaxed as the glow radiates over and through you.

Make your way down the body with the lunar glow,

Continuing to turn off and relax the neck,

The shoulders,

The chest,

Arms,

Hands,

Fingers,

Hips,

Thighs,

Knees,

Shins,

Feet,

And finally the toes.

Continue to visualize the beautiful,

Calming glow of the moon as you breathe into different areas of the body and listen to the music until you drift off into sleep.

Good night and sweet dreams,

Moon child.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.
