Transcript

Find a comfortable place where you can relax and let go.

When you're comfortable,

Close your eyes and allow yourself to relax even more.

We begin with a self check-in.

Tune in for a moment as you slow your breath down.

Tune inside and do a check of what's happening in your life that needs your attention.

Perhaps you feel stuck or at a dead end about something and you might feel defeated or frustrated.

Or maybe it's a painful experience from your past or even your present that's bringing up some painful emotions.

Get curious about what's going on for you now that you might be feeling from your past or present.

Is there something that feels unresolved?

Call this your attention now,

Whatever it is.

Our first step with self-compassion is to acknowledge where we are,

Our stuckness,

Our emotional pain.

Acknowledge what is happening for you right now.

Become aware of it.

Allow yourself to go there and be with it.

As you acknowledge this,

How do you feel?

Tune into your body,

Into your emotions,

And what are you noticing that's coming up for you or happening for you?

Just acknowledge all of it.

The second step is to be with it.

Allow yourself to not turn away from your pain,

But instead to be with it.

Become present with it.

As you turn toward and go deeper into the experience that you're having,

Allow yourself to cry if that's what's coming up.

Allow yourself to feel and just breathe.

Whatever feels right for you is perfect.

The third step is to speak with compassion and kindness with the experience that you're having as if the most loving and kindest person has come and sat with you.

Imagine this person speaking with you about your pain.

What do you need to hear as you experience all these painful emotions or as you experience this feeling of being stuck in your life with no place to go and you don't know where to turn?

It might feel like a dead end.

What is this person saying to you?

Try some of these phrases out.

Imagine this person saying to you,

I'm so sorry that you're feeling this way.

I am here for you.

You are doing your best.

I see you.

Being human is hard.

All of us make mistakes.

We're here for the experience of life and we learn from those mistakes.

It's part of our human experience.

I forgive you and I give you permission to forgive yourself.

I give you permission to let this go and move forward with your life.

It's okay.

I'm not going anywhere.

I love you.

Continue to breathe and add whatever else you might need to hear.

Allow this person to say this to you now with great kindness and compassion.

Remember to breathe.

Know that you have the ability to treat yourself with compassion and kindness anytime.

It's a matter of choice.

You are worth it.

Give yourself permission to make mistakes.

Give others in your life permission to make mistakes.

Remember how difficult the human experience can be throughout your day or your week.

Remember to take compassion breaks when you need them.

Choose your day.

Drop into yourself and speak kindly.

You and your inner child need your love and your kindness,

So please choose this for yourself.

Take another breath and bring yourself back to the room where you are,

Bringing with you the ability to become compassionate with yourself whenever you need it.

Oh gosh, this was so timely for me. A lovely compassionate break, I feel like I need to listen to it again to absorb it all but it made me stop and feel the emotions and realise how hard life has been. Thank you πŸ™πŸ»β˜ΊοΈ
