There are gateways to intimacy is silence, and that stillness begins with listening. What might it be like to listen with one’s feet? To listen to the heart, and to the aliveness of one’s fingers? To listen through breathing is to honour life itself. Sit. Feast on your experience.

How do we find our path in silence?

How do we practice silence?

We listen.

GONG Listen.

GONG We listen to the sensations in our feet.

We listen to the sitting on our seat.

We listen to our strong backs and the softness of our bellies.

We tune into the sensations of breathing.

Following the rhythm of the breath.

The natural cycles of inflate and deflate and rest and repeat.

Listening to the aliveness of our bodies.

The sensations of being.

The accompanying thoughts and commentary.

We honour our preferences.

Our aversion.

Our indifference.

And we listen and rest to the space which holds them all.

We listen to our hearts and the possibility of stillness.

What might it be like to open to the image of a pond that lies in the centre of a deep forest?

A pond so protected by trees that it has been undisturbed by even the slightest breeze for a thousand years.

Listening to the stillness of that water.

Not a ripple.

Undisturbed.

Stillness.

Silence.

And the reminder that whatever else might be arising in this present moment experience that it can be held in an embrace of awareness of presence.

How do we find our way in silence?

Silence.
