Then just let your eyes quietly and easily close.
Behind your closed lids,
Begin to focus your attention inward,
Pulling your awareness from the outside world,
The outside world of confusion and noise,
To your inner world of thought and feeling of creativity and imagination.
Take in a long slow deep breath and as you exhale just let loose of any tension or tiredness that you might be carrying with you in this moment.
For this is your time,
A very special time to pause,
To relax,
To connect with yourself.
And in your mind,
Within your imagination,
I want you to sense or to just pretend that hovering above your head is a beautiful sphere of beautiful brilliant light about the size of a beach ball or a basketball hovering above your head,
About a foot or two above your head.
Just sense it there.
Don't try to see it or imagine it,
Just feel it for now.
What would it feel like if there was this miniature sun or moon glowing above your head and feeling the warmth,
The awareness,
The presence from that ball of light above your head.
And with your next deep breath in,
I want you to imagine you're reaching up to connect with that ball of light and then as you exhale you draw that energy,
That ball of light down towards the crown of your head,
Letting it slowly descend with the exhale.
Take another deep breath in and once again allow the ball of light to now finally connect to the crown of your head until you sense its brilliance,
Its peace,
Its radiance slowly descending and connecting with your brain.
As you allow this light which represents your higher self,
Your higher consciousness,
Your soul and spirit to become more conscious,
More active,
And more aware in the next few moments.
And as you allow your breathing to move into its own natural rhythm and pace,
Don't try to control your breathing,
Just let it flow now.
Breathing in and breathing out like the waves on this shore of an ocean,
Moving in and moving out gently and easily,
Your breathing lulls you into a rhythm of relaxation as you breathe and let go.
And you notice now as that ball of light is surrounding your entire head that all of the tension in your scalp,
Your muscles of your face begins to disappear.
You allow the tension and the stress to evaporate and now allow that ball of light that is surrounding your head,
Clearing your mind to begin to descend down into your throat,
Into your neck and shoulders.
And now just let any tension that you might hold or harbor there evaporate and let loose of its grip.
As your shoulders soften,
As your throat expands,
And as your breathing continues to move in and out in a gentle,
Quiet rhythm of inner peace.
And you notice now that that ball of light continues its journey down into the center of your chest,
Surrounding your heart and lungs.
You feel this ball of light wending its way,
Slowly sinking into your chest,
Surrounding your heart,
Your lungs,
And you can feel your heart beating gently,
Powerfully,
And easily as it absorbs the light from this ball of light,
As it absorbs into your bloodstream.
You feel as if your entire body now is beginning to glow with this illuminated light.
Just sense your body and feel this healing presence,
This healing light emanating and radiating from every organ and gland,
From the very essence of the cells of your body.
Let yourself bask in this light,
Connected,
Relaxed,
And at ease.
And feel that light as with this warm,
Loving,
Gentle gesture of caring that you're giving to yourself in this moment.
Allow the light to quietly expand beyond your body,
Radiating out through the pores on the surface of your skin until this brilliant light is expanding larger and brighter,
Until you're inside of this beautiful sphere of light,
And together our lights join,
Connected.
And we sense the room that we're sitting in is being filled with this light and we are safe,
Connected,
Alive,
And aware.
And now begin to draw your attention,
Your awareness back into your body.
Draw your attention and awareness back into your breath and easily now take in a long,
Slow,
Deep breath,
Drawing your awareness back into your body,
Sensing your position in the room,
The clothing upon your body,
And as you exhale I'll count from one to three and at the count of three to open your eyes coming back into the room fully awake,
Fully aware,
And ready to begin.

Coming up slowly,
And three.
Take a deep breath in,
Stretching and feeling your body,
And when you're ready you can open your eyes and welcome back.
