In a moment I'm going to help you take a short break from your busy day to recharge and reset your mind and body.

Taking a short break like this each day,
Even for five minutes can make a profound difference to how you feel,
What you can cope with and your ability to focus and stay calm.
You can listen as often as you need to.
Always find yourself a comfortable,
Quiet place to listen and only listen when you can stop,
Close your eyes and give your full attention to this recording.
So let's begin.
For just a moment make a fist in each of your hands.
Now take a deep breath in and squeeze those fists as tightly as you can for a count of five.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five and release.
Allow your hands to unfold and relax and your arms to rest.
Now begin to relax your whole body,
Letting your shoulders drop and your jaw soften.
Take two long,
Gentle breaths in with me.
In and out.
In and out.
And now focusing this time on softening your chest and letting your abdominal muscles rest,
Take two more deep breaths at your own comfortable place.
Now continue to breathe softly and gently.
And with each out breath,
See if you can imagine releasing whatever tension,
Stress,
Worry or irritation that might have built up in your day so far.
Imagine that you have a huge glass tank in which your stresses can build up and get stopped.
Maybe you can see that tank filled with a heavy grey mist or liquid and that there is a tap at the bottom of this glass tank,
You can turn on so that the store of stresses begins to pour out.
Out and away from your body and mind.
Spend a few moments now breathing softly.
So softly and deeply and gently.
And each time you breathe out,
Imagine any unwanted feelings,
Bad experiences,
Intrusive thoughts,
Worries,
Anxieties,
Fears and discomfort,
Even pain,
Pouring out of the tap.
Pushing out now,
Pouring and pouring,
Leaving you completely.
Imagine now your stress tank is completely empty.
Breathe some more,
Softly,
Deeply,
Gently.
Enjoying the sense of calm,
Peace and tranquillity that comes with the image of that empty stress tank.
Spend a few moments now breathing quietly and sitting with a sense of peace,
Relief and freedom this brings.
Now your mind is clearing,
Your body is benefiting from a pause and a visit to this calm place.
Perhaps you can imagine another glass tank,
This one is where you store all the energy you have for living life.
Imagine another tap,
This time pouring freely into your energy tank,
Increasing your life energy with every refreshing breath or breath.
Perhaps you can imagine that energy is a pure crystal blue or maybe you prefer to imagine a soft golden liquid light.
Feel or imagine your body responding to this influx of new energy.
Perhaps you feel a cleansing and clearing or maybe there is a subtle tingling in your hands and feet or a sense of relief and lightness beginning to move through your body.
Just allow this energy to grow,
To fill you up.
In a moment it will be time to return to your full state of awareness,
Bringing this new energy with you,
Feeling calmer and yet revitalised.
Looking forward to using this new energy to live the rest of your day.
Feeling focused now,
Feeling productive,
Motivated,
Uplifted.
As if all your batteries have been serviced and recharged.
Just beginning to move your toes and fingers now and reconnect with your body.
Taking a deeper,
Stronger breath in and out.
Eyes open and ready.
