Even in the middle of chaos, there is a quiet place inside you that remains untouched. In this short guided practice, Michael helps you return to that stillness by noticing the space between your thoughts and settling into a deep sense of inner calm. If your mind feels busy or your heart feels overwhelmed, this meditation is an invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the peace that has always been within you.

Let's take a deep breath in and breathe out and let it all settle and then go ahead and close down your eyes or you can just stay here with me.

Allow for yourself to find a comfortable position.

You can sit or lie down or even stand and walk and as the body starts to settle start to notice the busyness of the mind.

Notice your thoughts right now.

Don't try to change them or stop them.

Just notice them like you're watching clouds pass through the sky and as you notice those thoughts connect to the breath.

Breathing in and breathing out and as you draw that awareness to the thoughts start to see if you can notice the space between the thought.

That brief pause between one thought and the next.

That space that's always been there.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Rest your attention in that space.

That quiet,

That stillness.

If those thoughts arise that's perfectly okay.

Just notice them and then gently return your attention to the space between them.

Remembering that that space is always available to you.

It's not something you create.

It's something you return to.

Breathe in and breathe out and feel that stillness that exists beneath all the mental activity.

That's the peace that's always there.

Breathe in breathe out and just for a few breaths rest in this quiet awareness.

Noticing the thoughts but not being taken away by them.

Resting in that space between them.

Coming back to you.

And then start to come back to this moment noticing everything around you.

And when it feels right and safe to do so go ahead and flutter your eyes open.

Take in the space around you and enter back connected and calm.

As you head into this week keep remembering to find that space between the thoughts.

To know that those thoughts are there for many reasons but you get to be the one to decide which ones you want to entertain,

Which ones you want to note and let go.

Which ones are helpful and which ones are just loops.

Keep finding your way back from the busyness of the mind to that true nature that's still quiet space that's always there.

We'll end today as we began with a deep breath in.

And breathe out.

Let it all settle.

Now go take care of yourself and I will see you next week.
