An exercise in healing a past event to bring peace into the present.
Many of us have a regret about something that happened in our past.
It may have been some action we took or did not take,
Something we said or perhaps should have said.
The pain from this event is still with us and affects our thoughts and actions in our daily life.
You may think,
Well,
It happened,
It can't be changed,
And now I suffer from that event.
But this is not true.
It is possible to return to that time and change that event in our minds.
And in changing it in your mind,
It will affect how you are now in your everyday life.
We convince the mind that the event turned out differently and it acts accordingly and brings peace to this present moment.
We will now try an exercise to achieve this result.
Find a comfortable position and then take a few deep breaths.
Always surrounding us are our guides who help us from the spiritual realm,
Always eager to bring us peace and happiness.
Invite those beings now to join you in this exercise.
It does not matter what name you use,
Angels,
God,
Holy spirit,
Jesus,
Goddess,
It's your intent that is important.
Do you really want them to join you and help you?
Are you open to their help?
If this is so,
They will come,
Because they cannot go against your free will.
You imagine their presence as a light shining down upon you,
Into your mind,
Into your heart,
Or perhaps the hand you hold.
Now bring to mind that event in the past that was painful,
That you regret happening,
You re-experience the emotions,
Make it real for you.
You may see people,
Events around you,
The pain you felt doing or not doing something,
Speaking or not speaking.
Experience that event as it happened and feel the emotions.
It's all right to feel sad,
Ashamed,
Angry,
Bitter,
Or any other emotion.
And now see the event the way you wish it had gone,
Perhaps something you said you wish you hadn't said,
Or you failed to speak up,
Or it may be something you did that you wish you hadn't done,
Something you wish you'd done another way,
Or not at all.
If it's something that you should have said,
But hadn't spoken up,
Speak it out loud to that person.
Say to the person what you should have said.
If it's an event,
See yourself doing it a different way,
Or perhaps not doing it at all.
Make it real,
Feel the emotions from this different action.
I will give you two minutes now where you can change the event,
Change the words to the one that will bring you peace.
Take any time that you need to finish,
Change the experience to the one you prefer.
When you're ready,
Just bring yourself back to the room and check how you're feeling.
You should feel more energized,
More happy,
More peaceful.
Know that you can always repeat this exercise.
