Hi there,

And welcome.

I'm Micaela Ellis.

And welcome to this talk about the body has a mind of its own.

And what I'd love for you to take away from this talk today is to know yourself and trust yourself and trust your body,

Just a little bit more.

Or at the very least,

To see a way through to the ability of you being able to do that,

That you glean something from this exploration that you can take away and see for yourself in your own life,

To test it out for yourself,

How you can trust yourself,

Who you're trusting.

When you say yourself and the fabulous indicator that the body is in all of that.

So why I see that it matters to kind of have this perspective of the body having a mind of its own is when how we've been sort of conditioned in our life is that what we experience is something from outside of us.

That we have circumstances in our life.

And the body is one of those circumstances.

We came into the world in the body that we have.

And it performs for us in a specific way that's unique to you,

As mine is unique to me.

Now there's this grand equalizer here that we all have.

And it's an understanding of how the mind works,

Of how our psychology works.

And that enables us to see that instead of experiencing the things outside of us,

Our body,

People,

Circumstances,

Our environment,

And then seeming that we that's what we're experiencing.

That it is those things outside of there,

Outside of us,

That's causing us to experience the things in life that we are.

Instead,

We can see that it's really an inside out experience.

The only way that we ever experience anything is through our own mind.

So let me introduce myself and share a little bit about my background and what is informing this talk today.

So I have,

You know,

Muddled through many years of my life growing up with eating addictions and emotional eating,

Substance abuse,

Anxiety,

Depression.

So many experiences,

Being a highly sensitive person,

Having a brain that people call neurodivergent,

ADD,

All of these things,

But those are just those are just thoughts,

Ways to describe.

Experiences that I've had,

When really the sort of underline the experience of all of those things comes from within comes from my own thinking.

So I came across this simple understanding of how the mind and life works about three years ago.

It's called the three principles.

It is a way of describing how life works for 100% of the population.

And that is that we are lived,

Breathed,

Animated by infinite intelligence,

This energy that is,

It's infinite possibility and available and living and breathing through all of us,

Expressing through each of us in very unique ways.

Your true nature is this infinite intelligence.

And then you have this very specific essence that makes you,

You.

That is quite heady when you think about it,

Like infinite,

What you are truly is this infinite energy.

Yet,

It seems that all we are,

Is this body,

And this brain,

This mind that we have,

And all of the experiences and knowledge that we've gained throughout our lifetime here on earth.

Yet,

That is just a microscopic aspect of all that we are.

In the words of Sidney Banks,

A Scottish welder and mystic,

Who articulated the three principles of divine mind,

Divine consciousness and divine thought,

Many years ago,

All in an effort to describe the experience that he had,

An enlightenment experience that he had,

Which allowed him to see through the thought that we relate to 100% of everything in our life.

So the second thing to really know is that we are only ever experiencing the feeling of our thinking,

Of our own thinking.

So why does this matter?

Because one,

And as it relates to the body,

We experience our body,

Some of us in ways where we,

Through our own conditioning,

Believe that it needs to be a certain way before we can partake in life in the ways that we truly desire.

We may miss out on things or avoid things because of our physical appearance,

Because of our abilities,

Because of our mental abilities.

Like,

If you are like me,

And are highly sensitive,

Have a more sensitive nervous system,

And have a very busy and creative brain,

Well,

Creative mind,

We all we all are creative.

And for some,

It just comes in in a different way,

Which can be distracting.

But once you understand that,

We can put all of these labels to ourselves,

Being highly sensitive,

Being of a certain age,

Being of a certain weight,

Or size or sensitivity.

And we can make that mean something,

That we will have a harder life,

Or an easier life.

And really,

What truly decides that is our own thinking about it.

So once we have this understanding,

It can go a long way and take a lot of limitations,

Wipe out so many limitations that we've been putting on to ourselves.

So what do I mean about the body has a mind of its own.

And there's one aspect,

There's one perspective that I see,

Overrides them all,

Sort of,

And that is that the body is created by our creator,

By source energy,

By this infinite intelligence.

It created it,

It is the sort of master mechanic of it.

It knows what the body needs moment to moment,

In order to support our own expression of ourselves through it.

So we have a built in guidance system that allows us,

That enables us,

That guides us in what to nourish our body with,

How to move our body,

What wants to be expressed and created through the use through our body and through the use of our body.

This is available to us.

That is the body mind.

That is the mind that I see it has.

And it's giving us information 24 seven.

Whenever you're feeling when your body is feeling open and relaxed,

Calm,

In a state of peace,

Or well being,

It's an indication that you're following the guidance of your true nature.

When it is in a state of stress,

Strain,

Tightness,

Contraction,

Illness,

Disease,

It can be an indication of suppressing or resisting the expression of your true nature,

When and over a period of time.

And in the moment,

Here's the thing,

The relief from stress and strain and contraction on the body is available to you in the next moment,

With the noticing of a thought,

Noticing that there is a lot of thinking going on.

I want to remind you again,

That we're only experiencing the feeling of our thinking.

So if it's not feeling good,

It means that whatever's going on in our mind,

Whatever we are giving our attention to,

It is resisting or going against our true nature,

It doesn't feel good.

And when life is kind of feeling like it's moving along,

And things are working out,

The body's just,

You know,

Putzing along,

Going with the flow.

It's a period in your life where you're,

You're allowing,

You're expressing,

Wants to be expressed,

You're following the inner nudges,

Whether you're aware of it or not.

That's key,

Really.

This is happening,

Whether you're aware of it or not.

But when you are aware of it,

And it's not going to your liking,

In the next moment,

You can choose a new,

You can choose to put your attention on what it is that you truly want to experience.

What you want to create in your day to day life,

In the next moment,

Just this moment,

It's the only one you have.

Even though it seems like we have a past and a future,

All that is,

Is thought about the past,

Or about an imagined future.

All you have to live is this moment.

And when you can slow down and see that,

Experience that,

Test it out and play with it in your life.

Like see if you can put your hand in tomorrow.

If you can eat yesterday's lunch,

You can think about it.

You can experience it only through your own mind.

But you can't physically be in another moment.

The only thing that you're experiencing is your own thinking,

Your own thoughts.

So it doesn't mean that the physical body does not have some things going on that seem to be beyond our thinking.

Like,

What about when you are born with a certain condition,

Something in the body that isn't typical of the average human?

It's unique to you.

What about that?

Now we can't know that,

Can we?

Or I can't.

I can't know that for another.

But the answer is always within.

There's always a reason.

There's always information about that or informing you about that.

Actually,

Let me back up a moment.

There may always be a reason.

I believe there is.

But I believe it's not always for us to know the why.

I like to look at it like this.

This is what makes sense to me.

It makes sense to me that it made sense to the Creator,

That the Creator wanted to experience something unique through each of us.

So we were each given different essences,

Something that makes us unique,

Even in the physical body,

That can only be expressed through that body.

And I believe that there's something that is that we all have,

We all like have a place in the world,

Everywhere.

I don't think we're locked in anywhere.

But there's something that we're here to do.

Our essence is needed.

It's missed if it's not expressed.

So rather than looking at what,

How the body may be different,

And what it's not able to do that maybe someone else is,

Or maybe there's experiences that are not of your preference,

That others don't experience.

There is still something available for each of us to experience that will bring delight and impact that is important,

And is needed and meant to be expressed in this world,

Right here,

Right now.

I believe we don't always know the impact that we make,

That we've been so conditioned to sort of stay safe,

Stay small,

Not speak out,

Not share what wants to be shared through us.

And it doesn't need to be like that at all.

We are here to express someone needs it.

Someone needs to hear it.

Someone will be sparked by it.

You may not even know who you may not even ever know.

There's many places we can go with this.

I think that's a really good place to pause for today.

And I'd love to invite you to notice for yourself in your life,

How this is true.

Notice what your body is telling you through the feeling that you're experiencing in it.

Notice when you catch that feeling,

That the feeling slows or stops completely.

Because the thinking that brought it on is paused by the thought that,

Hey,

What's going on in my body,

I'm noticing something.

Notice that,

Well,

You can only think one thought at a time.

So just noticing your body takes your attention away from what was going on on your mind.

And it brings it to the body.

And there is a break.

There's like peace in that moment.

Just play with it.

Play with it and see what you see.

Notice how magnificent and responsive the body is letting you know,

When you got a little bit of thinking going on on your mind about something that's really not serving you.

How do you know that?

Because it doesn't feel so good in the body.

Because you're feeling a little stressed,

Your ears are,

You know,

And your shoulders are almost touching frown on your face,

Maybe snapping at people.

I hope this is helpful.

Thank you for sharing this space.

And if you enjoy this,

Consider following me.

And let's stay in touch.

Ciao.

Thank you, MichaelaπŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»What you have just brought, resembles my own way of looking at my world, my creation, my body. In my current experience, I feel there’s a missing piece, I caught a glimpse of it while listening to your talk, and it’s fleeting. It somehow has to do with being totally at peace within myself no matter what, totally unapologetically feeling free to be me. Anyway, my body is giving me a sign right now, that my thoughts are not aligned with the truth of who I am. And the meaning I give, defines my reality. Writing this down brings clarity. So thank you for bringing this to me.πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ™πŸ»
