
Rainbow Chakra Meditation
This is a rainbow meditation to balance and nourish your chakra system. It also has a grounding effect. During the meditation we will pull two streams or spirals of energy from the ground, up either side of the legs and body into each chakra. The spirals will meet in the center of the chakra, crossover and go back down the opposite side of the body. At the end of this meditation an OM is chanted.

Welcome to Meditation with Mary Frances McKitchen.
Come meditate with me.
This is a rainbow chakra meditation to balance and nourish your chakra system.
It also has a grounding effect.
We will be pulling two streams or spirals of energy from the ground,
Up either side of the legs and body,
Into the chakras.
The spirals will meet in the center of the chakra,
Cross over and go back down the opposite side of the body.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position to sit where we can breathe deeply with our back straight.
Listen to the sound of your breath,
The sound of your inhale and exhale.
Let yourself be with your breath in this present moment.
Gradually let your breath soften and deepen.
Your breath and the sound of your breathing is unique to you.
No one else's breath sounds like yours.
So just notice it for a moment.
What does your inhale and exhale sound like right in this moment?
Now let your focus drop down into the earth under your feet and imagine the color red pooling around the bottom of your feet.
Now imagine that red color turning into two spirals of energy.
Take a breath and inhale those red spirals up the side of your legs into the first chakra at the base of your spine.
Let the spirals meet in the middle of the chakra,
Cross over each other and then exhale the spirals back down your legs and into the earth.
And just do that a few more times on your own,
Inhaling the red spirals up the outside of your legs,
Letting them meet in the first chakra at the base of your spine,
Exhaling them back down your legs,
Back down into the earth.
Just continue that.
Let your focus drop down into After your next exhale,
Let the red color under your feet turn orange,
A vibrant,
Bright,
Energetic orange,
Letting it pool again around your feet.
Now breathe two spirals of orange up your legs and body to meet and cross over at your second chakra,
Which is located a couple inches under your belly button.
Let the spirals meet in the middle of the chakra,
Cross over each other,
And then exhale those orange spirals back down into your legs and into the earth.
And repeat that a few more times on your own,
The orange spirals coming up your body,
Meeting at the second chakra,
And then exhaling them back down into the earth.
After your next exhale,
Now let that color under your feet turn into a sunny yellow,
A bright,
Sunshiny yellow.
Let it pool around your feet for a moment.
Now breathe two spirals of yellow up your legs and body to meet and cross over at the third chakra located at your solar plexus,
Letting them meet,
Cross over,
And then exhale them back down your body,
Back down into the earth.
And do that a few more times at your own pace,
Breathing the two yellow spirals up your body to meet in the third chakra at the solar plexus,
Crossing over,
Exhaling back down into the earth.
After your next exhale,
Let the color under your feet turn into a beautiful spring green and let that green pool and shine under your feet for a moment.
And then go ahead and let it turn into two spirals that you pull up the side of your body up to the fourth chakra in the middle of your chest at your heart,
Letting the spirals come together in the middle,
Cross over each other,
And then exhale them back down your body and legs into the earth.
And repeat that on your own for a few more breaths.
As you exhale next,
Let the color under your feet turn to a beautiful royal blue.
Let the blue begin to shimmer under your feet and let that beautiful blue turn into two spirals of energy that you pull up your legs and body into the fifth chakra in the middle of your throat,
Letting the two spirals cross over each other and exhale them back down your body and legs back into the earth.
And breathe those blue spirals up your legs and body into the fifth chakra in the middle of your body.
Now that blue under your feet turns into a beautiful royal purple color.
It moves and shimmers and turns into two spirals.
And breathe those spirals up the side of your legs and body all the way up to the sixth chakra in the middle of your forehead,
Letting them meet and cross over,
And then exhaling that purple back down your body and your legs back down into the earth.
And continue that breath.
And breathe those blue spirals up your legs and body all the way up to the sixth chakra in the middle of your forehead.
Finally,
Let that purple color under your feet turn into a beautiful white shimmering bright white.
And let that white turn into two spirals that you pull up your legs and the side of your body to the very top of your head to the seventh chakra,
Letting the spirals meet and cross over,
Exhaling them back down the length of your body and legs back down into the earth.
Let yourself continue that breath,
Pulling those white spirals all the way up your body to the top of your head.
Let them meet and cross over,
Exhaling them back down into the earth.
And breathe those blue spirals up your legs and the side of your body to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head to the very top of your head.
Let yourself continue that breath until you return to your consciousness.
Let each color renew and nourish your chakras.
Let all the colors shimmer and then when you're ready let them slowly fade away.
Let's sound three ohms together to complete this meditation.
You can chant out loud or quietly to yourself.
Let's take a breath.
Now listen to your breath again,
The sound of your inhale and exhale.
And whenever you feel ready,
You can think about wiggling your fingers and toes and slowly opening your eyes.
