I invite you to take a moment to come into an expansive sense of awareness.
Breathing in through the nostrils and slowly exhaling,
Releasing the tension,
The stress of the day.
Slowly being in the present moment.
Breathing in through the nostrils and holding that for three and breathing out.
It's always calling us to a deeper sense of compassion,
A deeper sense of connection,
A deeper sense of community.
Matthew 25,
40 tells us that whatever we have done for the least of these,
Those who are pushed to the margins because of ability or ethnicity,
Gender.
Whatever you have done for the least of these,
You have done it for me.
I encourage you in this moment as you continue to breathe consciously,
Breathing in and out,
To think about how you today can be a bridge.
How you can come into divine and beloved community with someone who differs from you.
Breathing in as you lengthen the spine and saying this affirmation,
I am a vessel God of your peace,
Of your love.
And as you breathe out,
Giving thanks to God for bringing you into a deeper awareness of not only your own needs,
Not only your own perspective,
Not only your lived experience,
But the lived experience of someone else.
Allow the breath to become a cleansing,
A letting go,
A releasing of thoughts that keep you divided,
Keep us divided from one another.
We are inextricably linked.
No separate.
There is no separation.
There is only divine and radical love.
Breathing in and lengthening the spine,
Giving thanks for the movement of your limbs,
Your breath.
It is a testament of love from the creator to you.
As you continue to breathe in and out at your own pace.
I invite you again.
To visualize how you can.
As meditation ends,
How you can be a bridge,
How you can begin to see all living beings,
Not only human plants,
Animals.
How you can see the creation is deeply connected to yourself.
How you can begin to love your neighbor.
As you love yourself.
And how you can commit to tearing down the barriers in your own heart,
In your own mind,
In your own soul that separate.
For it is in and through communion that we come to love deeply as Christ loves and that we embrace the consciousness of Christ.
As we end this meditation with one deep cleansing breath into the nostrils.
Out through the mouth,
Giving thanks,
Giving thanks for all that is and all that will be.
