When we learn to meditate we start to train the mind in concentration rather than be lost in thought. Starting practice with simple counting once the body is relaxed is a great way to learn. It's very normal to catch ourselves lost in thought often and so we are gentle with ourselves and repeat, just as we might practice learning a musical instrument. Enjoy
