Melissa, I truly have to thank you for this meditation! I’ve been struggling with my dog Badger. At night for some reason for the past three weeks, he will sit on my chest when we get into the bedroom or stare blankly or even whine. I did take him to the vet and they put him on medication … For the past few nights, I have been working at not using the medication as that seemed to help with him sleeping, however, the hour before he was very out of sorts. I had spoken to someone today about doing something different in our bedtime routine and that included meditation or Reiki. So I sat with Badger on the bed and did your meditation. He calmed down, and when we were done, we said our prayers it was a beautiful bonding moment. It was what he needed to know that he was safe. I don’t know what triggered his anxiety we think perhaps him sitting in the car one night while I had gone in by my brother- who knows, did a coyote go by, did that scare him… I will never know because he cannot tell me.
What I do know is that he was telling me that he just needed to feel safe, and that my energy needed to match his and that was of safety and calm, he is an emotional support animal. Thank you from my heart to yours and from Badger’s🐾heart to yours. He slept soundly-
when we were done with the meditation we said our prayer he gave me a kiss, and then he fell asleep. With much appreciation thank you.
