So this visualization is to recognize the wisdom that is here with you and the resources that are available.
And so just getting comfortable,
Taking a long deep breath.
If you're comfortable with it,
Close your eyes.
And just notice how the body feels as you're resting here.
And from your adult self in this moment,
I want you to remember back what life was like as you were entering puberty.
Not quite a child,
Not quite an adult,
And all of these things were happening inside you.
Your body's changing.
All these things are happening around you.
Your friends are coming together and breaking up,
And there's clicks and all of that happening.
You might be feeling interested in dating or hanging out or going steady or getting more interested in having someone in your life beyond just hanging out with your friends.
Puberty was a crazy time.
And everything was unknown.
And everything was changing.
Inside and out.
And I want you to imagine your today self that survived it and actually has a lot of wisdom now about what that time of your life was like.
And so just imagining yourself meeting that prepubescent teen,
Somewhere around 11,
12,
13,
14,
Somewhere in that age range.
And just putting your hand on their shoulder and saying,
You're going to be okay.
And feeling the assurance that you hold,
The wisdom that you hold in your today self.
You could even let that part of you know that you are their future self.
Like,
Look,
We survived.
All the body changes,
All the relational changes,
We did it.
We got through it.
There was some bumps.
There was some tough times.
And we did it.
And you're okay.
And you're going to be okay.
And you could imagine guiding that part of you through the experience of all those changes.
Because you have within you now the knowing that you are okay in the midst of that incredible metamorphosis.
And just take a breath.
So here you are with your teenager,
Your today self.
And I want you to imagine now a figure that's in the distance that's walking towards both of you.
And you'll see that as they get closer,
It's your future self that has all the wisdom and all the knowledge and all the understanding of you moving beyond this moment,
Beyond the chaos and the questions and the unknowns of today and what's happening in your life today.
And imagining that future self coming to you and saying,
You're going to survive this.
And I'm here to walk with you because I already went through it all.
The truth is that our entire past,
Present and future is right here in this moment.
And this future self is here to support you and reassure you that whatever changes you are going through in this moment that you're going to be okay.
And just feel that reassurance that your future self is holding.
Feel that sense of,
You've got this,
I've got this,
I went through it,
I know what's going to happen and I'm going to be with you along the way.
And so just taking a breath,
Thanking your teenager,
Thanking your future self,
Just feeling the tribe coming together for this grand adventure called your life.
We're never alone.
Everything you need is right here within you.
All the wisdom and all the knowledge and all the resources and all the inspiration is right here.
And just breathing that in to every cell of your being.
Feeling that connection from your today self to your past,
From your future self to the today self,
Feeling that connection deepening and opening those channels of communication,
Just opening up and just resting in the reassurance that everyone's holding.
You're okay.
You're going to make it through.

And so taking one more long,
Deep breath,
Thanking them for showing up,
Thanking them for the courage,
Thanking yourself for the courage,
Just acknowledging how incredible you truly are.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
