We'll begin here seated or on your back with your eyes closed as comfortable as you can be.
Allowing all of the distractions,
The to-do lists,
The emails,
The phone calls,
Just set them aside,
Making time and space for yourself.
And as you are here,
Start to notice the loudest sounds within your surroundings.
It could be the cars on the street,
An airplane overhead,
Voices in the next room.
Just allow your ears to connect to that sound,
To grab onto it and really listen.
Just allowing the ears to be pulled in the different directions to all of the many sounds that surround you.
And then bringing the awareness closer now.
Once again to the sounds that are in the space closer to the body.
Maybe it's the creaking of the floor or the walls,
The shifting of people,
Or simply the breath.
Just noticing as the thoughts come and pull you in different directions,
Simply let them go and come back to the sounds,
Really listen to the sounds.
And then beginning to notice the breath here once again.
Just softly deepening it ever so slightly.
And then just continue here with that slow,
Deep breath for however long feels comfortable for you.
Thank you and Namaste.
