Welcome to this grounding meditation.

I am Melanie Sterling and I will be your guide.

Take a moment to get comfortable in a seated position and when ready allow your eyes to gently close.

Take a few deep breaths here and settle into the seated position,

Allowing yourself to get comfortable.

On your next inhalation bring your breath to the root chakra area at the base of your spine and feel the energy begin to move and then slowly release your breath.

Feel the weight of your body drop into your base chakra as you get heavier and you sink further into the ground.

On your next breath imagine roots growing out of your base chakra deep into the ground below you,

Spreading out far and wide,

Giving you a sense of stability and security.

Like the roots of a tree,

Your roots drop into the earth below you and extend out around you.

These roots extend deep deep into the ground below all the way down to the core of the earth.

Feel your body soften and sink deeper down into the earth.

On your next breath bring up the energy from the core of the earth through your roots up into your base chakra.

Allow your body to be nourished by this earth energy.

Draw up the energy from the earth up through your base chakra.

Allow it to go into your legs,

Up the torso,

Into your heart,

And out the crown of your head,

And out the palms of your hands.

With each breath notice the energy of the earth filling up your body,

Giving you a sense of strength and clarity.

Each time you release your breath,

Imagine releasing any tension or negative thoughts out through the crown of your head and out through the palms of your hands.

You are grounded,

You are supported,

You are stable.

With your next breath feel the power of the earth move up through the roots,

Up through your base chakra,

Up through your stomach,

And your heart to the top of your head.

Notice how strong this powerful energy feels.

Notice how strong you feel.

The earth energy is an energy of abundance and we bring that abundance into our being,

Into our body with every breath we draw.

Allow this energy to spread throughout your body and allow your stress to be released.

When ready,

Begin to shift your awareness back to your base chakra and notice how the ground feels below your body.

Notice the connection you have made with the energy and the earth.

Be aware of this grounding energy that the earth has given you and bring your awareness to the strength and the relaxation that you now embody.

We give thanks to the earth and we give thanks for this energy and connection that we have made.
