Marked the beginning of winter and the dark half of the year.
Here at Beltina,
We are marking the beginning of summer and the light half of the year.
These two festivals of transition between light and dark,
Dark and light,
Were the most permeable times to connect with the other world or the spirit world.
This makes Beltina an auspicious time to do divination work like tarot and oracle.
The themes for Beltina can be seen in the natural world around you.
The fertility in the new life birthing and blossoming,
Heightened senses with colorful flowers,
Airy bird song,
Sweet honey,
And the warming sunlight.
