What they are wearing,
The expression on their face.
See the light in their eyes,
The life and vibrancy they possess.
This child is a part of you,
One that holds your earliest memories,
Feelings and experiences.
Approach your inner child with an open heart,
And when you're ready,
Greet them.
There is no rush,
Take your time.
See how they respond.
They may be shy,
Or they may run into your arms.
Accept the reaction and respect the space.
Now find a comfortable place to sit with your inner child.
It might be on the soft grass,
Or on a bench,
Or anywhere that feels right in this safe place.
As you sit together,
Ask your inner child if there's anything they wish to share with you.
Any feelings,
Memories or messages.
Listen with compassion and patience.
Your inner child may express joy,
Sadness,
Fear or excitement.
They may show you memories you had forgotten.
They may ask questions.
Offer them your understanding,
Your support and your love.
Reassure them that they are not alone,
That you are here now to offer the care and attention they may have needed.
Go ahead and have this dialogue now.
If your inner child has shown any moments of pain or discomfort,
This is the time to provide comfort.
Offer a hug or a kind word,
Or an act of kindness they may have needed at that moment in your past.
You have the power to give your inner child the emotional support and validation they deserve.
Now,
If it feels right,
Ask your inner child if there is something they need from you moving forward.
It could be to play more,
To laugh more,
To take time for self-care or to be brave in the face of challenges.
Promise your inner child that you will honor this request,
That you will carry their needs with you and integrate their wisdom into your daily life.
Go ahead and ask your inner child what it is they need from you.
As this meeting comes to a gentle close,
