Allow your eyes to close.
Let your body settle in a way that feels most supportive today.
You do not need perfect posture and you do not need to be still.
You only need to be here.
Begin by noticing your breath,
Not shaping it,
Not correcting it,
Just noticing the quiet rhythm that is already there.
Notice how your body breathes when there is nothing it needs to do.
And now,
Bring your attention slowly,
Very slowly,
Into your physical body.
Not scanning for problems,
Not trying to relax,
Just noticing.
Start with the top of your head.
The scalp.
The forehead.
Notice if there is any holding there,
Even subtle.
And without trying to change it,
Simply acknowledge it.
I see you.
Let your awareness drift gently down now behind your eyes,
The jaw and the tongue.
These are places where effort hides,
Where words go unsaid,
Where vigilance lives.
You don't need to release anything yet.
Just notice.
Now bring your awareness into your neck and shoulders.
Notice how much weight they may be carrying,
Responsibility,
Readiness,
Years of holding it together.
And on the exhale,
Allow the shoulders to soften one small degree.
Not dropping,
Not collapsing,
Just easing.
Your body does not need to hold everything at once.
Now let your awareness move into your chest.
Notice the rise and fall with each breath.
Notice if the chest feels guarded,
Open,
Or somewhere in between.
There is no correct state,
Just notice.
And now gently allow the breath to move a little deeper into the belly.
Not forcing it,
Inviting it.
The belly is where survival lives,
And it is also where release begins.
If the belly resists,
That's okay.
Resistance is communication.
Let this truth begin to land slowly and gently.
My body has carried a lot.
And it has done so wisely.
I do not need to understand everything I am releasing.
I am allowed to let go without explanation.
My body has carried a lot and it has done so wisely.
I do not need to understand everything I am releasing.
I am allowed to let go without explanation.
Now imagine or sense that your body is like a sponge that has been holding tension over time.
Today you are not wringing it out,
You are simply placing it somewhere warm,
Somewhere supported,
Where it can begin to release naturally.
There may be sensations,
A sigh,
A swallow,
A twitch,
A wave of warmth,
Or nothing noticeable at all.
All responses are signs of intelligence.
Now let your awareness move further down into the hips,
The lower back.
These are places where stability and fear often coexist.
Notice what is being held here.
And without judgment and without urgency,
Allow a gentle softening.
Your body knows how to release when it feels safe enough.
Let this truth land,
You do not need to brace to be saved.
You can release tension without losing stability.
Your body knows how to recalibrate itself.
You do not need to brace to be saved.
You can release tension without losing stability.
Your body knows how to recalibrate itself.
You do not need to brace to be safe.
You can release tension without losing stability.
Your body knows how to recalibrate itself.
Now bring your awareness into your legs and your feet.
Notice the connection to the ground,
The surface beneath you.
You are supported,
Even when you stop holding yourself up.
Allow your entire body to rest into that support.
Not all at once,
Not completely.
Just enough to feel the difference.
As the session continues,
Your nervous system is learning something new.
That it can release tension without danger.
That it can soften without collapse.
That it can let go without losing control.
Stay here for a while.
Let your body do what it knows how to do.
And when you are ready,
Slowly begin to return.
Wiggling your fingers and toes if needed,
Opening your eyes gently.
Carry the sense of release with you.
Your body remembers safety now too.
