Settle into your body now.
Today is not about processing emotion.
It's about practicing a response.
Nothing needs to be fixed.
Nothing needs to be explained.
You are simply training your nervous system to stay present under pressure.
Let your body find a supported position.
Close your eyes.
Notice your breath as it is,
No correction,
And gently remind yourself,
I am allowed to pause.
As you breathe,
Begin to notice the space between your breaths,
The natural pause,
The quiet moment.
You don't create it,
You notice it.
This pause exists everywhere in the body,
Between heartbeat and heartbeat,
Between thought and reaction.
Today we are strengthening that pause.
Let your nervous system feel what it's like to slow without stopping.
In a moment,
I'm going to count from 1 to 10.
And at the count of 10,
You will be in a deeper,
Relaxed state.
1,
Feeling good.
Too.
Three.
For life.
5… deeper and deeper into relaxation… 6… 7… 8… 9.
And 10.
You are now more relaxed than you were before.
Anchor creates momentum.
Momentum creates reaction.
Interruption does not mean stopping emotion.
It means interrupting momentum.
Even a few seconds is enough to change the outcome.
Let this idea settle.
You do not need to decide anything when anger is high.
You only need to stay present.
The pause comes first,
Clarity comes later.
I want you to now practice a simple,
Reliable interruption sequence.
This is not a trick.
It's a psychological reset.
Step one is that you ground.
Bring awareness to your feet.
Press them gently into the surface beneath you.
Feel gravity.
Feel weight.
Feel contact.
This tells the nervous system I am here.
I am supported.
The second step is to breathe low.
Allow the breath to move into the belly,
Not deep,
Not forced,
Just lower.
Longer exhale than inhale.
This signal safety.
And step three is naming the moment that you are in.
You can silently say,
I am activated,
Or I am angry,
Or this is anger.
This is not judgment,
It is orientation.
You are naming this state,
Not obeying it.
Stay here for a few breaths and let your body feel the shift.
This entire sequence can take 10 seconds,
And that is enough.
I now want you to imagine a mildly triggering moment.
Nothing extreme,
Nothing overwhelming.
As you imagine it,
Notice the first signal of activation.
And now practice the interruption.
Ground,
Breathe,
And name.
You are not solving the situation.
You are simply staying present.
Let your system rehearse this in your mind's eye a few times.
Repetition builds reliability.
Ground,
Breathe,
And name.
I want you to notice something important.
Anger peaks and then it falls.
It does not need to be discharged through action.
It does not need to be suppressed.
When you interrupt momentum,
Anger can move through the body instead of out of the mouth or the hands.
Let your system experience that possibility.
As we close,
Let this truth settle.
You do not need to react to be authentic.
You do not need to act to be honest.
A pause does not betray your anger.
It protects you from unnecessary damage.
You are learning how to stay with intensity without losing yourself.
In a moment,
I'm going to count from one to five.
And at the count of five,
You'll bring your awareness back to the room.
One.
Too.
3 4… and 5… This pause is always available to you.
